A woman who has an elaborate scheme to propose to her boyfriend on leap day an irish tradition which occurs every time the date february 29 rolls around faces a major setback when bad weather threatens to derail her planned trip to dublin. Studio: Uni Dist Corp. (mca) Release Date: 05/04/2010 Starring: Amy Adams Adam Scott Run time: 101 minutes Rating: Pg Director: Anand Tucker
Leap Year is one of the most delightful, relatable romantic comedies to come along in a great while, and its appeal is due in equal measure to the talents of its star, Amy Adams, and the lush, romantic countryside of Ireland. The two together are enough to melt the hardest of hearts. Adams is smart, funny, approachable, gorgeous but real, and very witty and nuanced in her performance. Adams's character, Anna, waits for her stiff of a doctor boyfriend, Jeremy, played by Adam Scott, to propose after four years of coupledom, to no avail. When Jeremy goes off to Ireland on business, Anna gets a bee in her bonnet to follow--to be able to capitalize on the Irish tradition that women can propose to men on leap year day, February 29. To no one's surprise, Jeremy remains clueless even amid the gorgeous Irish landscape, and Anna has some predictable misfortunes along the way. But fate brings her into the path of a handsome bartender, Declan, played by Matthew Goode, and from there the audience can just sit back and enjoy the fluffy ride. Goode, who was a revelation in A Single Man, is a leading man to watch, not just because of his good looks, but because as an actor he's able to communicate subtly, with looks and gestures that make his interactions with Adams's Anna touching and believable. And with majestic Ireland as a backdrop, their wee spark just might blossom into something magical. --A.T. Hurley

YOUNG WRITER RICHARD COLLIER IS MET ON THE OPENING NIGHT OF HIS FIRST PLAY BY AN OLD LADY WHO BEGS HIM TO COME BACK TO ME.MYSTIFIED, HE TRIES TO FIND OUT ABOUT HER, AND LEARNS THAT SHEIS A FAMOUS STAGE ACTRESS FROM THE EARLY 1900S, ELISE MCKENNA.....
It's silly, it's superficial, it's so desperately earnest about its tale of time-spanning love that you almost wish for a cheap flatulence gag just to break the solemn mood. But there's something so unabashedly gushy and entertaining about Somewhere in Time that you can't begrudge its enduring popularity. The film has become a staple of romantic-movie lovers since its release in 1980, and endless showings on cable TV have turned it into a dubious classic of sorts--a three-hanky weeper that anyone can enjoy as a guilty pleasure or a beloved favorite, with no apologies necessary. In his first film after the star-making success of Superman, Christopher Reeve stars as a contemporary playwright who visits a posh hotel and sees the portrait of an actress (Jane Seymour) who had performed there in 1912. He becomes obsessed with this beautiful woman and learns all he can about her, and then discovers a method of hypnotically transporting himself backward in time to meet her. "Is it ... you?" she says upon seeing the lovestruck playwright, and it's clearly a mutual attraction. But even the slightest reminder of the playwright's modern time can jar him from his seemingly real existence in the past, so his wonderful love affair is constantly just a step from being stolen away. Based on Richard Matheson's novel Bid Time Return, this flaky film may strain one's tolerance for plot holes and corny romance, but it's hard to deny its lasting appeal--and let's face it, guys, it'll make wives and girlfriends swoon if they're in a tearjerker mood. --Jeff Shannon

Fortunately, there's an Enfamil® formula designed to help meet these feeding needs. For babies with mild feeding concerns like fussiness, gas, or spit up, and for babies who may be experiencing cow's milk and food protein allergies, Enfamil offers a selection of formulas to meet these needs. Your baby could have an allergy or sensitivity to the cow's milk protein found in that formula. Nutramigen® has been specially designed to ease a baby's allergy towards a cow's milk-based formula, so your baby can grow strong on the outside--and feel good on the inside. Ask your baby's doctor if this formula is right for your baby. The Story Behind the AllergyWhat causes a milk protein allergy or sensitivity? A baby's intestine is naturally immature at birth. As your baby feeds, whole proteins are digested and absorbed into the intestine. But occasionally, larger proteins can slip through the immature intestinal barrier. In infants with a cow's milk protein allergy, these proteins are misrecognized as a foreign body, or antigen, which leads to an immune response, eventually causing the intestine to become inflamed. Prolonged inflammation allows for an increased transfer of antigens, causing more inflammation and discomfort for a baby.Effectively Manages Colic**, FastFormulas like this one, designed for infants with cow's milk protein allergy, use whole proteins that are extensively broken down to reduce the allergen exposure and avoid an allergic response. The Best Way to Travel on a Budget
Well you won’t be traveling to Monaco and staying at a five star resort on a budget, will you? Maybe so! Mostly, traveling on a budget means finding the cheapest price for the experience you want.
When traveling on a budget it’s best to keep in mind the following points:
1. Travel in the off-peak seasons. You can save up to as much as fifty per cent off air flights and accommodation costs if you plan to travel in low season times.
2. Stay away from popular tourist spots (unless they are on your ‘must-see’ list). If you can go off the beaten track with your destinations, things can be cheaper to see and do and your cultural experiences will be richer.
3. Try camping. Not only is it the cheapest form of accommodation it’s a great way to get up close and personal to nature. It’s the best way to see National Parks and Heritage listed areas.
4. Look for special travel offers (or packages). But make sure you check everything that they include - and don’t include.
5. Invest in a travel pass where you are able. Most developed countries have a rail or bus transport system where you can obtain day, week or monthly passes that will get you around cheaply.
6. Get a work permit if you aim to gain employment while traveling overseas. Working can help subsidize places that aren’t so cheap, such as Europe and Australia.
7. Look for good exchange rates on the dollar. This may help you decide which country to travel to.
8. Think about shortening your visit to destinations that are expensive and increasing your length of stay in cheaper places.
9. Where possible use your credit card. The exchange rate is better.
10. When staying in a hotel, avoid paying for ‘extras’. Don’t touch anything from the honor bar. Don’t watch the in-house movies and don’t use the hotel phone. And try not to use room service too much!
On the world scene there are some great places to travel on a budget for under thirty dollars a day. In Asia you can try India, Laos, China, Cambodia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Thailand, Sumatra and Burma. In Central and South America you can visit El Salvador, Bolivia and Ecuador. If you are after a budget experience in the Pacific, try Fiji or New Zealand. Over in Africa there are some great budget destinations such as Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Ghana. Don’t forget the Middle East where places like Iran, Syria and Turkey provide excellent value for money and wonderful experiences for the budget traveler.
There is no ‘best place’ to travel on a budget. Just be prepared to look around, avoid the pitfalls of unwanted costs in package deals or hotel bookings. If you want to travel and your budget doesn’t meet your expectations, be flexible and see if there is somewhere cheaper you might like to experience. You could be pleasantly surprised with your stay in India or Iran, when you thought you wanted to go to Tahiti.

My wife is going to travel with me from Mexico to Australia she will be 28weeks pregnant when traveling?
We are moving to live in Australia, we will travel from mexico city to LA and then to Melbourne. 18 hours flying. Is it bad for the fetus?? My wife is afraid of flying so many hours. What could be you recommendation??
Hi
You say she will be 28 weeks along? Assuming you have your dates right or the Doctors have them correct,..I would not expect any trouble as she wo uld be 7 mos along. You did not mention if she has any other health issues or if its first pregancy and has been trouble free so far etc...
HOWEVER
Pregnancy increases your odds of blood clots and so does flying , especially long flights....
If she is very anxious this can cause issues as well.
Of course she should not take any medications without doctors permission to ease anxiety or air sickness etc...
Many people fly while pregnant. I feel much of the safety in this varies person to person, and is very effected by each persons own health.
There is no standard answer really.
There is alot that can go wrong in any pregnancy really, being on a plane simply increases the time it will take to get treatment.... Tough to land quickly anywhere if you are over the ocean! So keep that in mind, and mae a plan in the event she were to go into premature labor, or have other issues....maybe ask the airlines ahead what kind of medical training the crew has and equipment. They may also have some suggestions, or be able to make some accomodations for your wife as well. Make sure you let them know when you make the reservation AND when you borad that your wife is 7 mos pregnant. Don't assume they will guess.
Make sure the flight is as stress free as possible for her and she drinks plenty of hydrating liquids ,, water , sports drinks etc.. stay away from caffiene and no alcohol of course.
Make sure she gets up and walks around and stretches as much as she can tolerate... those lower legs need to move.
Even if this means disturbing her sleep she should not lay dormant the entire flight even if she is sleeping....
Now the most important thing to do.... and I can strress this enough
TALK TO YOUR CURRENT DOCTORS!
ask them about it all as they know her health issues and background...
then Make sure you have covered the bases for vaccinations and locating a new hospital and physician oncec you arrive in AU.
Good luck to you guys... I have friends that live in Perth and on the Gold coast as well... AU is a gorgeous place to live!
Take care
