No one goes to a movie directed by Michael Bay for delicacy and grace; you go because Michael Bay (Armageddon, The Rock) knows how to make your bones rattle during a high-speed chase when a car flips over, spins through the air, and smacks another car with a visceral crunch. Bad Boys II fulfills this expectation and then some. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence may be mere puppets amid all this burning rubber and shrieking metal, but they actually provide a human core to the endless cascade of car wrecks and gunfights. Their easy rapport makes their personal problems--a running joke is Lawrence's attempts at anger management--as engaging as the sheer visual hullabaloo of bullets and explosions. The plot is recycled nonsense about drug lords and dead bodies being used to smuggle drugs, but orchestration of violence is symphonic. If that's your thing, then this is for you. --Bret Fetzer
Hang on for maximum mayhem full-on fun and the wildest chase scenes ever put on film! The action and comedy never stop when superstars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith reunite as out-of-control trash-talking buddy cops. But the real fireworks result when Lawrence discovers that playboy Smith is secretly romancing his sexy sister Gabrielle Union (Bring it On). Director Michael Bay (Pearl Harbor Armageddon) and producer Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean Black Hawk Down) deliver a high-speed high-octane blockbuster that will blow you away! Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones - Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

There's never been anything quite like the symphonic film music series that John Williams has forged for George Lucas's sprawling Star Wars saga. By the time the sixth chapter rolls around, Williams will have created a body of work that spans fully 30 years of his career, a virtual Ring Cycle of sci-fi/fantasy soundtrack music. While Attack of the Clones again achieves the high standards of its predecessors, it also succeeds by both forging some rewarding new musical themes at the same time it begins to bring the galactic fable full circle. The budding relationship between now-teenaged Anakin Skywalker and Amidala/Padme is informed by "Across the Stars--Love Theme from Attack of the Clones," a grand romantic motif that's infused with a subtle melancholy that hints at the tragedy that must ultimately befall the young lovers. The composer's mastery of idiom and color serve him especially well in the action cues, infusing "Zam the Assassin and the Chase Through Coruscant" and "Jango's Escape" with bracing doses of 20th-century modernism and its inherent rhythmic fury performed, as always, by the London Symphony Orchestra. Williams also incorporates the "Force" and "Jedi" themes of the first SW trilogy sparingly, before "Confrontation with Count Dooku and Finale" completes the musical/thematic tapestry by interweaving The Empire Strikes Back's menacing "Imperial March" with both the new "Love Theme" and the Phantom Menace's dramatic choral showcase "Duel of the Fates." This sweeping denouement should rightfully take its place among the saga's most compelling musical sequences. Purists may grouse at the obviously abridged music here, but given history a complete/ultimate edition of the score can't be far behind. This soundtrack is issued with one of four different, collectible covers. --Jerry McCulley

Night Watch is that rare film that--like The Matrix--is not only visually dazzling but creates an intriguing, seductive, and thrilling alternative world. A young man named Anton, after dabbling in black magic to bring back the wife who left him, discovers that the world is populated by fantastical Others (vampires, shape-shifters, witches, and more) who have chosen sides--Light or Dark--in an epic battle. A truce has been declared; both sides watch the other to ensure the truce is maintained. But a prophecy has predicted that a powerful Other will tilt the balance, and Anton--who is himself an Other--finds himself crucial to the prophecy's fulfillment. There's no question that Night Watch has weaknesses. Numerous plot holes get glossed over by pell-mell pacing, the visual conception of the apocalyptic battle between Light and Dark is curiously pedestrian (a bunch of knights fighting a bunch of guys in fur with swords--what happened to their various powers?), and more--but, much like similar problems with The Matrix, it doesn't matter. The alternative world Night Watch presents is so rich with possibilities that it takes on a life of its own, both as an imaginative universe and as a vivid metaphor for the moral complexities of our own lives--for example, though the forces of Light claim to be good, their often brutal actions call their virtue into question, and the forces of Dark make some compelling moral arguments on the topic. The movie is so overstuffed with ideas that many don't get fleshed out, but that only contributes to the sense of vitality and unexplored dimensions. Even the subtitles are used creatively. The impending sequels (this is the first film of a trilogy) may--like The Matrix--take all the stimulating possibilities Night Watch raises and drag them into the toilet, but for the moment, this is the sort of electric excitement that blockbuster movies promise but so rarely deliver. --Bret Fetzer
In modern-day Moscow, two opposing factions of supernatural beings known as the Others live among humans, maintaining a centuries-old truce. The forces of dark rule the night and the forces of light control the day, while both keep close tabs on each other. Here are some more information for Wars Force:

In Korea I saw the horrors of war. But that was not the first place I learned about them. I learned on the streets of Salt Lake City when I was a kid.
When I was very young, I knew that World War I had crippled many. Some men in or neighborhood were gassed by phosgene or mustard gas. Others had lost their sanity. But it came even closer to home when youngsters began dying during World War II.
One of the main problems was increased traffic on city streets. Cement mixers raced down the streets to the Remington Arms plant being built west of the city. When the plant got operating, trucks raced from the plant to the railroad depots. Trucks continually suppied the army bases in our valley. Workers put in long hours which made their driving dangerous to us kids.
I had seen child deaths before. One of our friends tried to save his brother from drowning and they both died. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15: 13 One friend died while stealing coal to keep warm.
Two of our friends, young boys, were riding double on a bicycle. They were hit by a cement truck. Two of our friends, a boy and his sister, were run over by an ammunition truck while crossing a viaduct. The driver had fallen asleep. One of our friends tried to grab his sister out of traffic in front of their father's shoemaker shop. All six died.
Two of our older friends died in Italy with the 10th Mountain Division. Others got home despite that fact they had been in heavy combat. My brother was one of them.
We had already seen death at home.
Thousands of children were killed in Europe, Great Britain, in Asia and Africa, and in the Pacific during World War II. Bombs don't discriminate. Even today, children are being killed by the implements of war left on battlefields long ago. It makes me ill to see the bodies of youngsters that have been killed in Iraq.
Many children are orphaned during war. We had two young boys with us in Korea and we were an infantry company on the front lines. Finally the Red Cross found their grandparents and got them to where they were safe.
Look at the children killed or maimed or orphaned in Bosnia and Africa. When will it stop?
This world will never be a fit place to live as long as we continually manufacturer weapons of war. We will make them as long as we have that primordial instinct to kill and to take property that belongs to others.
The main force to stop this tide of destruction has been religion. However, the words Thou shalt not kill are blowing in the wind.
Infantrymen know that commandment supplied by Moses applies during war. They just can't lay down their arms and walk away. They stay there and fight and continue to break the commandment or they will die. Those who object to killing serve in other ways, but we can't all do that, can we?
Religion has failed at stopping war. Religion has started wars.
The United Nations has not stopped wars. The organization engages in wars. In Korea, we were a United Nations force.
Governments often decide on war rather than negotiation. It's a matter of patriotism. (Our president loves being Commander in Chief.)
The problem is that all of these organizations consist of human beings-the scourge of our planet.
Organizations have ideals.
People seldom have ideals that they always live by. We as a whole mainly talk about ideals.
Some say that peace will come only when God comes and takes over the earth.
If you were God, would you come to this place?
You might get shot down by an F-17.
We need to make this planet safe for God and our children.
We must remove the causes of war.
Let's start with removing greed, arrogance, and self-righteousness.
The End

Laws for the Use of Force in Islam
The mere enactment of good laws, the Quran asserts is not enough to ensure peace in the world. It is necessary that the laws should be properly enforced :We sent Our messengers with clear arguments and with these Our laws and the criterion of justice so that man may establish himself in justice ; and with it We have , also created steel wherein is mighty power and many other uses for mankind (57 : 25).
In other words, law which is not backed by force is no more than pious advice. Law must be enforced if the social order is to be maintained. The Quran, therefore, is in favour of the state maintaining sufficient power to enforce its laws. If the Quran calls God As-Salaam, the source of peace, it also applies to Him the terms, Protector, the Mighty, the Compeller, and the Self-reliant. The state should reflect these attributes as well. The power vested in the state should be used to maintain law and order and as a defence against those who threaten its independence. The state is not to use its powers to curtail the freedom of individual. The purpose for which the state exists is to maintain conditions in which the individual can develop and achieve self-realisation. This purpose is fulfilled only when the state is fully independent and prepared to meet aggression from any quarter : Make ready for your opponents all you can of armed forces and of horses tethered, that thereby you may dismay the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others beside whom you know not (8 : 60).
The state should not use its power to oppress the weaker nations. It should use its power to create conditions in which the way of life ordained by God can be followed. The first battle fought by the Muslims exemplifies the right use of force. The Rasool (prophet) and a small band of his devoted followers lived in Mecca for thirteen years. During this time they suffered all kinds of persecution with patience and humility. Every insult or act of violence was received in silence or at the most it evoked a gentle protest. But their self-imposed restraint was mistaken for weakness and every day they suffered outrages. When oppression became intolerable, they left their ancestral home and sought refuge in Madina, a town several hundred miles away from Mecca. Even here they were not left in peace. Their enemies were determined to compel them to renounce the new creed or to exterminate them if they refused to do so. A formidable force marched against them. For the refugees it was a question of life and death. even then they hesitated to meet force with force. They patiently waited for Divine guidance, that they might do which was right. They were at last permitted to resort to force and give battle to their implacable enemies: (As has been mentioned above) They do avenge themselves against any aggression committed on them and according to the Law of Justice this is obviously not a crime (Rather it discourages the crime) (42 : 41).
A clear directive is given in the following verses, Permission is given to those who are fought against (to right) for that they have been wronged ; and verily God has the power to help them :It is for this reason that permission is hereby given to the people (Momineen) who have been very oppressed and against whom war is being wrongfully waged, to fight (in self-defence). Allah Almighty indeed has the power to support oppressed people. The only fault of the oppressed people who were unjustifiably driven from their homes was that they proclaimed Allah Almighty alone as their Sustainer. (But evil rebellious forces never easily permit people to exercise the option of having their own Rabb). Imagine, if Allah Almighty had not enabled people to defend themselves against others (and let loose the rebellious forces to do whatever they liked), they would have not even spared places of worship like monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques, where Allah's name is proclaimed profusely. These places would have been pulled down long ago. Allah Almighty will thus most certainly help any group which rises to defend the System based on justice and equity (wherein the freedom to worship is the basic right). Indeed Allah Almighty is most powerful and reigns supreme over everything. (22 : 39-40).
We can conclude from these verses that only, those who are persecuted and are not allowed to live in peace are justified in having recourse to war. The question arises, what are they to do if they do not possess the means to defend themselves ? In such a case, the Quran commands all righteous men to hasten to their rescue and fight on their behalf :How should ye not fight for the cause of Allah and of the feeble among men and of the women and the children who are crying: "Our Rabb! Bring us forth from out of this town whose people are oppressors. Oh, give us from before Thee some protecting friend! Oh, give us from before Thee some defender!"
War in the cause of Allah Almighty is for the help of oppressed people. Allah Almighty helps oppressed people through human agency and not directly. This is illustrated by the following: In Al-Madina, the Momineen had established their own state but those who could not leave Makkah were greatly oppressed. They cried to Allah Almighty for help and Allah Almighty said to the Momineen in Al-Madina: "What has happened to you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah? Do you not hear the cries of the helpless men, women and children in Makkah who entreat Allah: "O our Rabb! rescue us from this city whose inhabitants are oppressors. Send us someone who will protect and defend us" (4 : 75-76).
The meaning is clear. Oppressed people, all over the world pray for a helper to rescue them, for a defender to fight for them. Do you not hear the cry of the oppressed? Or, do you think that, being secure yourself, there is no need for son to fight ? You are wrong. It is your duty to hasten to the help of all who are groaning under Oppression - It is your duty to fight against cruelty and injustice, even if the victims do not profess the values and concepts you profess and do not belong to your country or race. From wheresoever comes the cry of the oppressed, thither you should hasten and fight against the oppressor. This is what war "in the name of Allah" means. The Momins fight in the cause of Allah against cruelty, tyranny and injustice. Their purpose is to make justice prevail in the world. The unbelievers fight to subdue other people and exploit them for their own ends. The Quran tells us in simple and direct language when war is justified and when it is not. The principles laid down by the Quran are clear and definite. They are not couched in language which may be susceptible to different interpretations. The distinction between a just and an unjust war is clear and should not be blurred by sophistical arguments, For example, people, if they are really persecuted, have a light to rebel against the government of their country. However, they would be acting directly against the Quranic principles if they magnified any petty grievance and called it persecution. They may be said to be the victims of persecution only if the basic rights, defined by the Quran, are denied to them. The Mumin (believer) will keep up arms only to defend these rights, and he will hasten to help the oppressed, whether Muslim or non Muslim.

Mullen: Force just one tool in winning wars
MANHATTAN, Kan. — The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff said Wednesday that victory in Iraq and Afghanistan won’t come in one glorious battle. Instead, Adm. Mike Mullen told a Kansas State University audience, success in the long wars will be determined by use of military and diplomatic powers, along with support from U.S. allies. Mullen said there won’t be a day when commanders “stand up ...
