I`m a fairly new fan of the Star Trek series, just finished watching TOS for the first time all the way through (i`d watched random episodes back when i was young but never the whole series)
I never noticed this before but no one in TOS wears glasses. I mean, I saw one guy working in the transporter room in "The Cage" with them but that was it.

Kirk wears reading glasses in the movies, but only because he is allergic to the traditional treatment. I don't believe they specify with that treatment would be. In other words they have a cure for the traditional vision problems.
