Another great place to shop for Theory Rock products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Theory Rock: What exactly is spontaneous generation? It is simply the idea that life can come from things that were never alive before. They just 'appear' as a life form. For those that believe in the theory of evolution, it means that rock, chemicals and elements accidentally came together to form life. In the dark ages this idea was accepted by almost everyone. Rats would just appear in garbage dumps. Flies would just appear on rotting food. This kind spontaneous generation was disproved by Scientists such as Redi and Pasteur. Today, however, evolutionists must believe that a type of 'spontaneous generation' must have occurred if evolution was ever to have taken place in the past. That is the the kind that forms life out of chemicals only. Science, by definition, is based on observation. Spontaneous Generation has never been observed by anyone in the entire known history of the world. So the very requirement that would show that evolution is true has never been observed. Since no observation is involved, then speculation, instead of science, must be used No true scientific theory or law can be based on something that never occurs and never has been observed in the past... especially if it contradicts known scientific observation. One of the basic facts of biology is that life comes from life. 'Spontaneous generation' would deny this fact. A 'student' of science must ask himself, "Am I going to believe a known biological fact or a theory that is based on an idea that has never been verified by any observation whatsoever?" Believing in this idea begins to take on an element of faith. That it must have occurred because evolution must be true. Nobel Prize winner in biology, Dr. George Wald summarized his own viewpoint: "There are only two possible explanations as to how life arose: Spontaneous generation arising to evolution or a supernatural creative act of God." He later continued, "There is no other possibility. Spontaneous generation was scientifically disproved 120 years ago by Louis Pasteur and others, but that leaves just one other possibility... that life came as a supernatural act of creation by God. Therefore I choose to believe in that which I know is scientifically impossible, spontaneous generation leading to evolution." There are really only two choices when it comes to the scientific creationism vs. evolution debate: believe in something we do not understand (a creator) or something that is scientifically impossible (evolution). Next: Discover additional facts with scientific creationism that disproves the theory of evolution. Learn more facts that we never learned in school at EvoltuionGuy.com. Also receive the special report, Did Humans Live With Dinosaurs? This is an issue facing most music educators - how much do you load students up with theoretical knowledge and how much do you just let them play? There has never been a subject in which the practical aspect is more important than in music. Learning music should always be about doing in any school Singing, Movement, Playing and listening all play an important part. No-one would disagree that music lessons in schools should have a lot of practical components. The only thing that I have found music teachers to disagree on is how much music theory the school lessons should include. Music Theory can be a very dry and boring subject - if you let it! In a high school or junior high or setting studying keys, scales, transposition and modes can quickly seem irrelevant to the students. What is important is to link the practical and the theory lessons as much as possible. If you can take a piece the students are currently playing, and start the theory lesson by looking at that you'll have much more success. If your school has a Rock based curriculum it is easy: you simply program a theory lesson after each practical lesson. In this lesson plan the students can a)find and listen to a recording of the song they are playing b) study the manuscript of the song they are learning Engage in theory activities and exercises based on this music that are suitable to their current level d) think about suitable arrangements for instruments that would suit the music. The theory lesson could be similar if your school has a more traditional band or classical program. The traditional approach is to choose a theory book and make them go through each activity in order, despite the order that they should do things. Instead you could pick an activity based on the problems or challenges they are currently facing in band or orchestra, and choose a worksheet based on that. If music teachers can take more of this integrated approach, then music theory lessons will become much more fun for children studying music in schools.
