How can u fix a small rip/tear in a 100% polyester shirt?

I have this really cute top i got for my b-day but i exchanged it earlier today for the same shirt because it had something missing on the belt. Now the new shirt has a small rip towards the bottom. How can i fix the rip without having to go back to the store and getting the original shirt (and trading the belts.) Can i do it myself or best to take it to the cleaners? It's 100% polyester.

If you cant see thru the shirt use a iron mender strip cut to suit if you can see thru the shirt use one the same colour and iron .
