What color tie should my husband wear with a black shirt?

My husband was just given a black dress shirt. I want to get him a new tie but am not sure what color to get. He plans to wear it to a "easter-ish" event. I know a red tie would look awesome but I think it's a little to "dramatic" for this event and I don't want him looking like Satan. Any suggestions?

Well if it's an Easter-ish event, I'd stick to a pastel color - maybe light blue, or green.
