Sonic Heroes has received a lot of good reviews. The positive points of the game include 2D game play style, vibrant environment and graphics. Sonic Heroes has a number of faults in the level designs, game voice acting and camera system. However, the game manage to sell many copies and becomes of the best sellers for the 3 consoles including Xbox, GameCube and PS2.

Sonic Heroes allows you to switch between three characters. When you are controlling one characters, the other two characters will follow. Each of the character has their own unique power including speed, power and flight. The speed is used for fast stages; power is used to break the objects while flight is used to reach high platforms. The player must use these abilities to face the opponents in the 14 stages. The abilities are represented by an individual color. For example, speed is represented in blue color; flight is represented in yellow color; and power is represented in red color. The characters can boost their energy and increase their efficiency by obtaining specific items or reaching checkpoints. Every team is equipped with the Team Blast skill which allows you to destroy the enemies when the Team Blast meter becomes full.

The story plot of Sonic Heroes begins with Sonic running around the world searching for adventure. Later, Tails and Knuckles inform Sonic about the message from Dr. Robotnik that he will dominate over the world in 3 days. In this way, the trio team was formed and they embark on their adventure to impede Dr. Robotnik's evil plan. However, there are other characters that formed their own teams to search for Dr. Robotnik. The team chaotix was hired by an anonymous client to find Eggman. Rouge encounters Shadow and accidentally woke up Omega. After a brief fight, Rouge team up with Shadow and Omega to form a team called Team Dark in search of Eggman. Amy, Cream, and Big has also teamed up to find Chao Chocola, Froggy and Sonic because they assume all these happened as a result of Eggman. When all the teams reach the final stage, they realized that they are not chasing Eggman but Metal Sonic who disguised himself as Eggman.

Eggman (Dr. Ivo Robotnik)- Sonic The Hedgehog's Memorable Villain

The Hallmark of a good game is often a great villain, if the game has a villain that is. Villains in games, stories and movies often make these that much better for us. A good villain can be good in many ways. First of all is his evil ways that are absolutely meant to be foiled since the time he was conceived. Then, it can be his mannerisms, how he deals with the hero(es) and how he plans to do the typical villain things, like "take over the world".

So when it comes to Sonic The Hedgehog, the game's success can no doubt be attributed to the almost lovable character of Eggman as the villain. Sega has a long history of a fascination with eggs, just check their games catalogue. This fascination seems to have worked curing the creation of Sonic as well. Eggman AKA Dr. Ivo Robotnik is a portly character with a huge bushy moustache and spindly legs. After that description, it is obvious that he cannot be too threatening. However, he is quite clever and he keeps on coming up with 'egg' inventions to defeat Sonic and reach his end goal.

'Egg' inventions here mean that somehow his inventions always end up having something to do with eggs. It is either used as a weapon or as the shape of the machine. In fact, almost everything around Eggman is egg-shaped. His spaceship, called the egg carrier, is also egg-shaped. Makes one wonder though, shouldn't his ship be called an eggcup?

Dr. Robotnik uses a lot of gadgets and hi-tech machinery to do what he does. The obvious question that comes up here, is this - where does he get all the money from to make all those machines? Does he have a huge junkyard full of spare parts? Does he have a supplier? But when you are cartoon character inside a game, you really do not need to answer those questions at all.

That is major fun about creating a character like Eggman. You can make him out to be absolutely evil, having an endless supply of machines and completely without any explanations whatsoever. However, Eggman's dubious plans never succeed and nor were they ever meant to. But he still manages to keep us entertained with his endless supply of 'evil' plots.

After all, our favorite blue, supersonic hedgehog would not have had any luck whatsoever saving his planet had it not been for Eggman. He gets to be heroic because Eggman exists. So much as you may love Sonic, if you look deep inside yourself, you will realize that the character of Eggman greatly adds to the richness of the game. If it was some other silly villain and not someone as good as Eggman, you probably would not have enjoyed the game as much as you did. Thus, when people sit down to think about their favorite villains, Sonic fans are very likely to come up with Eggman rather than some other villain.

Did Dr. Eggman/Robotnik create Sonic the hedgehog?

Because I think I heard him say, at the end of almost every episode, on Adventures Of Sonic The Hedgehog," I wish I never created you Sonic!" I think he shouted that out and cry like a baby...

No. He was born to Jules and Bernadette Hedgehog. They were both killed by Dr. Robotnik and he was raised for a short time by his uncle Charles until he was killed by Dr. Robotnik as well.
