govino really means go anywhere you like. This revolutionary vessel designed for the ultimate enjoyment of fine wine actually works well for any cold beverage. The unique ergonomic thumb-notch makes wine swirling most simple and best of all you can reuse them or even recycle them. Each box comes with a set of four crystal-clear shatterproof "glasses" perfect for indoors or outâat a picnic, an outdoor party, or at poolside. The govino wine "glass" is actually not glass at all. It is made from a proprietary, food-safe / pharmaceutical-grade polymer "aka" PETG, which reflects a wine's color and projects its aromatics much like crystal. Best of all... once your vino is gone your govino can be reused or recycled. Reuse it, abuse it, but eventually recycle it! To ensure the optimum wine tasting experience, replace your govino wine glasses after an extended period of use. Important Note: Hand wash only! govino was designed for commercial use and can withstand most industrial glass sanitation systems (1-2 minutes at 160 degrees). Since domestic dishwashers are so widely varied, we cannot claim this product is 100% "dishwasher safe." Size: 4-2/5"H; 16oz.

The guitar riff from "Breaking the Law" is one of the most recognizable from early 1980s heavy metal. Though British Steel sounds dated these days, it's also a classic slice of metal, one of the best from a band that defined the genre in the late '70s and early '80s. Everything that ultimately became characteristic of heavy metal is here, from the lightning-fast riffs on "Rapid Fire," the anthemic "Metal Gods," and "United" to the obligatory party song "Living After Midnight" to the equally obligatory youth-rebellion song, "You Don't Have to Be Old to Be Wise." British Steel is unquestionably Priest at their peak. The 2001 remastered reissue includes two bonus tracks--a previously unavailable studio selection called "Red, White & Blue" and a live take on "Grinder." --Genevieve Williams

Amnesiac

More song-driven and acoustic than Kid A, Radiohead's Amnesiac isn't quite "Kid B," but it is unquestionably cut from the same far-out cloth, as the band revels in fascinating quirks and abject nihilism. It's also the first time in Radiohead's career that a new record hasn't meant a complete shift in artistic priorities. Surely, however, regardless of which was released first, they both deserve recognition; after all, Amnesiac, like Kid A, is an amazing piece of work. Only lightly augmented with electronics, songs like "You and Whose Army?" and "I Might Be Wrong" almost sound like they came from a typical five-piece rock band. You may even believe the band still employs a guitarist after hearing Jonny Greenwood's wistful surf-guitar lead on "Knives Out" or his subtle but noticeable contributions to the anticapitalist rant "Dollars and Cents." But inevitably, the band continually shifts gears, moving into Boards of Canada territory on "Like Spinning Plates" and delivering dark, bass-laden oddities like "Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors," a fuzzed-out piece of avant-garde techno that could just as easily be on an Autechre or Aphex Twin record. The song's half-sung, half-spoken vocal was laid down by either a heavily distorted Thom Yorke or, just perhaps, a loquacious microwave oven. Either way, the music always has momentum, regardless of whether propelled by man or appliance. Radiohead as a band understand how to make rock interesting again, and in the end, that's all they set out to do when they recorded Amnesiac, as well as Kid A. It's more than can be said for the bad frat-punk, teen-pop and soulless techno that currently rules the charts, and for that alone, Radiohead's astonishing exploration of 21st-century anguish deserves credit. --Matthew Cooke

The Partridge Family - The Complete First Season
List Price: $19.99
Sale Price: $7.99
|
|
|
Like a groovy Family von Trapp, The Partridge Family arrived in 1970 with matching velvet outfits and wholesomeness bursting from every pore. Watching it now, you expect little more than kitsch--but the show, though certainly a sitcom representation of the world, is curiously fresh and appealing. This sheer likeability comes partly from the cast--Shirley Jones (The Music Man) looks foxy in miniskirts while still being the cool mom everyone wishes they had; teen idol David Cassidy is unexpectedly engaging as an actor (his charisma is all the more apparent when another teen idol, Bobby Sherman, makes a wooden appearance); and Danny Bonaduce's child-star rise sprang not from cuteness but his genuine comic timing. It doesn't hurt that many of the troubles the characters faced--swelled heads, rivalry, groupies (!)--were undoubtedly problems the actors were facing as their show became a hit. Sure, there are utterly ridiculous episodes, such as when Danny is tutoring a mob boss's girlfriend about the stock market and the gangster, not knowing Danny is only 10 years old, gets jealous--but most episodes feature ordinary show business conflicts or straightforward family issues, like how the kids cope when their mother starts dating or how teenager Laurie (Susan Dey, who later went on to L.A. Law) feels ugly when she gets braces. This simplicity, combined with some classic vaudeville-style humor, proves surprisingly durable. Plus, the list of guest stars ranges from Ray Bolger (best known as the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz) to a young Richard Pryor, as well as other soon-to-be-famous folk like Charlie's Angels' Farrah Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith and a pre-Star Wars Mark Hamill. The first season collection includes a bonus CD with four of the Partridge Family's actual radio hits; their sound, a fusion of the Monkees and the Mamas and the Papas, is pure pop sugar (created by a host of Brill Building songwriters like Neil Sedaka). If the Mondrian-inspired paint job on the Partridge Family bus gives you childhood flashbacks, you'll happily regress when you watch this box set. --Bret Fetzer

Three Colors Trilogy (Blue / White / Red)
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $28.97

Even though one can view each segment of Krzysztof Kieslowski's Three Colors trilogy on its own, it seems absurd to do so; why buy the slacks instead of the entire suit? Created by Kieslowski and his writing partner Krzysztof Piesiewicz for France's bicentennial, the titles--and the themes of the films--come from the three colors of the French flag representing liberty, equality, and fraternity. Blue examines liberation through the eyes of a woman (Juliette Binoche) who loses her husband and daughter in an auto accident, and solemnly starts anew. White is an ironic comedy about a befuddled Polish husband (Zbigniew Zamachowski) who takes an odd path of revenge against his ex-wife (Julie Delpy). A Swiss model (Irène Jacob) strikes up a friendship with a retired judge (Jean-Louis Trintignant) who eavesdrops on his neighbors in Red. The trilogy is a snapshot of European life at a time of reconstruction after the Cold War, reflected through Kieslowski's moralist view of human nature and illumined by each title's palate color. The DVD set has numerous extras spread throughout the three discs; the end result is a superior collection. Each disc has a short retrospective, culled together from new interviews with Kieslowski's crew, plus film critic Geoff Andrew, biographer Annette Insdorf (who also does the commentaries), and fellow Polish director Ageniska Holland. Producer Marin Karmitz also reminisces about the experience. There's an exceptional effort to show the magic of Kieslowski (who died two years after the trilogy) through a discussion of his various career phases, interviews with the three lead actresses, four student films, and archival materials including simple--and wonderful--glimpses of the director at work. Excellent insight is also provided by Dominique Rabourdin's filmed "cinema lessons" with Kieslowski. Without viewing any of his other films, this set illustrates the uniqueness of Kieslowski. --Doug Thomas
Miramax Home Entertainment is proud to present BLUE, WHITE and RED, the acclaimed films by director Krzysztof Kieslowski. Hailed by filmgoers as some of the most absorbing, engaging, well-crafted dramas in recent memory, the box set of BLUE, WHITE and RED Each DVD disc includes lengthy bonus features. BLUE: Academy Award winner Juliette Binoche ("The English Patient," Best Supporting Actress, 1996) stars as a young woman left devastated by the unexpected death of her husband and child. She retreats into the world around her, but is soon reluctantly drawn into an ever-widening web of lies and passion as the dark, secret life of her husband begins to unravel. WHITE: Sexy Julie Delpy ("Before Sunrise") stars in a mysterious tale of a man whose life disintegrates when his beautiful wife of six months deserts him. Forced to begin anew, he rebuilds his life, only to plan a dangerous scheme of vengeance against her. Winner of the Best Director Award at the Berlin Film Festival. RED: Irene Jacob ("The Double Life of Veronique") stars as a young model whose chance meeting with an unusual stranger leads her down a path of intrigue and secrecy. As her knowledge of the man deepens, she discovers an astonishing link between his past and her destiny.

The irresistible pairing of Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler is the best reason to see Anger Management, a comedy that might loosely be called The Funny and the Furious. Nicholson and especially Sandler have screen personas that partially rely on pent-up anxieties, so there's definite potential in teaming them as a mild-mannered designer of pet clothing for chubby cats (Sandler) who's been ordered to undergo anger-management therapy with a zany counselor (Nicholson) prone to occasional tantrums and devious manipulation. Surely this meandering comedy looked better on the page; director Peter Segal scores a few lucky scenes (particularly Sandler's encounter with a Buddhist monk, played by John C. Reilly), but a flood of cameos (Heather Graham, Woody Harrelson, Rudolph Giuliani, and others) can't match the number of laughs that fall flat. As Sandler's understanding girlfriend, Marisa Tomei plays a pivotal role in a happy ending that leaves everyone smiling, with the possible exception of the audience. --Jeff Shannon
AFTER A MISUNDERSTANDING ABOARD AN AIRPLANE THAT ESCALATES OUTOF CONTROL, THE MILD-MANNERED DAVE BUZNIK IS ORDERED BY JUDGE DANIELS TO ATTEND ANGER MANAGEMENT SESSIONS RUN BY DOCTOR BUDDY RYDELL, WHICH ARE FILLED WITH HIGHLY ECCENTRIC AND VOLATILE MEN AND WOMEN.

A Business Revolution Called Logo
A logo uniquely defines its company or organization and it represents the products or services with it. When it comes to buying of products or services, the customers generally relate the logo with the products.
The logo concept originated in the 19th century after the industrial revolution that led to increased production and global distribution. With companies trying to occupy greater share of the market, logos were created to differentiate between products within the same industry. Symbols were imprinted to products and packages to distinguish one brand from another. Thus was born the logo that later came to revolutionize the advertising world.
The Right Logo Concept
Selection of the right logo concept is the most crucial aspect of logo designing. You should first determine what your logo says about your company. You can use an image of a house if you are in real estate business or use an image of a car if you are a car dealer or use an abstract image to symbolize your company's philosophy and visions. A very dynamic image with swooshes and sparks might be suitable for a very young and hi tech company.
Tagline
When creating a tagline, first consider if you are actually going global. If so, create a tagline that points out your company's visions when translated into different languages. For example, the company, which did not take this into consideration, was KFC. Their tagline is "finger-lickin good", but when translated to Chinese it is "eat your fingers off".
Shapes, Sizes and Types
Iconic Logos: These are the most general types represented by a single graphical icon that generally includes the name of the company below or to the side of the icon, for example: Nike. When going for iconic logos, make sure that the symbol fits any of the geometrical shapes. The best ways are to use symmetrical geometrical shapes.
Logo Type: These types of logos consist only of the company name. For example Sony and IBM.
Illustrative: These logos represent company's field of business. They are very eye-catching and detailed. As a result of their details and colors, they are little difficult to reproduce and hence expensive.
Colors
While choosing the color combination, remember, it should be in sync with your business objective. Colors have very profound effect on viewers. Red and Orange produce excitation, Red signifies danger, blue portrays comfort and yellow tends to create a feeling of irritation. If you are planning to create a logo for a hospital, stay way from reds and yellows. But having said so, McDonalds is doing great with their red and yellow combination logo.
A thorough research combined with creative thinking and supported with good and logical logo design techniques go into logo designing. Businesses with an innovative logo will definitely have an edge over other businesses.

What car has a red crown for a logo? Its called a murali or something?
I saw this beautiful car the other day, it had a red crown as an emblem. It was very slender and long (the logo)
On the trunk of car is said something like murali in really nice hand writting. The engine also made the nicest purr. It that helps any.
Maserati. See source for pics. They are an Italian company that makes real nice cars, expensive too. I think the logo is a trident or something. Maserati GranTurismo is beautiful. Seen them up close, real nice interior. Since 1993 Maserati has been owned by the Italian car giant Fiat S.p.A.
