Users have access to social networking and more and can flip through photos on the applications in the Widget Manager. The phone stores calendar and contacts. It can be used as a modem with a laptop to check email and send text messages. It looks great and has a reasonable price. It is a mid-range feature phone but is clearly not a smartphone.

4. The LG Optimus One (P500) has Android customizations but these are kept to a minimum. It is quite affordable - particularly with a plan. Some are saying that it is the most affordable Android. Being powered by Android 2.2 and optimized by Google Mobile Services. This makes it popular for those who want to purchase their first 'smartphone'. Besides its price, it is well designed and has a good screen. Its curved surface is comfortable to hold. It has an excellent notifications taskbar and automatic and seamless synchronisation with Google services, Froyo offers built-in wireless tethering, the ability to store third-party apps on your microSD card, and general performance improvements. One benefit of Froyo that doesn't apply to the LG Optimus One is Flash support for Web browsing; the phone's modest specifications mean that it doesn't have enough processing power to offer full Flash support.

5. Now here is a smart smart phone - the Blackberry Pearl 8120. It has snap quality digital shots which you can send immediately as well as video recording. You can save these and enjoy them again and again. Users has easy access to social networks, a GPS to help you find your way, a very reliable Wi-Fi that you can use anywhere and easy streaming access to the news, television and other media sites. You can buy this phone in your favourite colours, be trained in how to use it with interactive demos and simply enjoy using this smart phone.
