A Business Person’s Checklist to Postcard Mailing
Before you complete the final phase of your postcard mailing project, look back. Check everything if it is in order. Read through your customer service plan and see if all that is listed are being implemented.
Customer Service Checklist
You have invested money on postcard mailing to gain more clients. You’ve read all the tips in the book to make your cards appealing to your target market. Now you have a list of people to send those cards out to. You also have the right postcard design with all the elements in place.
Before you proceed with the venture, check the following.
1. Product description
Look at your cards. Imagine yourself as the customer. At a glimpse, would you know what the card is trying to sell? If yes, were you tempted to buy?
If not, look at every angle to see what is lacking. Does the design fit for the kind of market you are targeting? Are the words engaging enough? Are the words easy to understand? Or are there too many words that a person wouldn’t be able to grasp easily what the cards try to say?
If you opted to use fewer words, it is good. But will the pictures suffice for the curiosity of the one who will look at your cards? Did you use enough images? Or are there too many graphics that it gets too confusing?
Look at the postcard as a whole. Do you see what you are trying to sell? Is it convincing enough but not really bordering into hard selling? What overview did you get when you looked at the cards?
2. Clear communication
If you have analyzed your target market before plunging into postcard printing, this would be easy. All you have to do is use your market’s language on your ads. You have to be understood. And with postcards, you have to write what you mean and what you are trying to say.
This is your way of introduction to your target audience. You don’t want that intro to be too formal or too casual. You want it to be easy and friendly and yet professional.
If you have included a promo, make sure that you don’t hide it with flowery words. You can get away with such once or twice. But in the long run, customers will avoid you if you keep on tricking them to avail goods using deceptive promos.
Be clear. Be concise. And make sure that you are being true with your every offer.
3. Follow up
If your postcards are aiming to get the attention of your previous clients to avail from you again, this can be done. Your cards can act as a greeting card. Send those out on special holidays and most especially, on your clients’ birthdays.
You don’t want to be forgotten, especially by the people who have transacted with you well and good in the past. You want to keep track of those people. This is one way to do so.
And the most important thing that you must not forget about on your postcard mailing tools is your contact details. Let the postcards be the map of your customers towards you. You don’t want them to get lost in the process.

How to get MAC cosmetics promo postcards?
Someone told me that you can get them by joining a mailing list if you own a MAC pro membership (which I do) or by asking a store. I went to several MAC counters and one MAC store. They didn't have any. Anyone know the best time to ask for one to if you can get them at the store?
Thanks!
PS I want these because I'd love to decorate my traincase with them or create a p/c album. Collector if you'd say =P
I got them immediately after obtaining my pro card. You should automatically be put on a list. They don't come often though. Only like once a quarter. So depending on how long you've had your card, maybe be a little patient? If nothing comes soon you should definitely get in touch with the folks you ordered your card through or go online. Good luck!
