If Republicans are so smart, why can't they win an election?

Tonite, like many others, I see question after question, answer after answer, where Republican posters disparage the intellect and patriotism of Democrat voters. And yet, in 2006, the Democrats won, and in 2008, the Democrats won the White House, the Congress, and of course, will change the face of SCOTUS and the Federal Judiciary as judges retire. So if Democrats are so dumb and unpatriotic, why are Republicans pressing their hungry faces against the glass of the restaurant, wishing they were dining with the victors?
And, is there anyone who, after looking at what 8 years of Bush has done to our international standing, our econoy, our deficit, our trade balance, our job losses, can say that America won with 8 years of Bush?

The reason the Republicans are on the outside of the restaurant looking in is because the Democrats are on the inside having a food fight. Just look at Illinois. We, of course, will have to go in and clean it all up in 2 years---if they don't burn it down first.
