Making Custom Postcards
Now, here's a custom postcard printing tip that needs some equipment. If you have a digital camera and one of those mobile picture printers then it is easy enough to do. First, before going anywhere, be sure to buy some postcard paper, or one of those blank postcards. Some craft stores and stationary stores sell these kinds of things. If you can't find any, then some photo paper will do fine. Be sure to bring them where you are going to. Afterwards, simply take a picture of yourself, or any subject that you want to put in your color postcard. Then, just plug the camera into your mobile printing dock. If you spent a great deal on that printing dock, you can customize the picture by adding a border and a few other image enhancements. Then, load up your blank postcards on the printer and start printing! It is that easy!
However, if you don't have a mobile printing dock (they can be a bit expensive) then you can do all the printing online. One you have an image that you want to be placed in a postcard, then simple send them to an online postcard printing company. There are a lot of these online printing companies these days. Simple search for them using a search engine. For a minimal fee you can have your postcards printed and delivered to you within a few hours or a few days time. Once you get them, add up your message and mail them to your loved ones, or even to your customers. Simple as that.
Generally, older cards are more desirable than new (new being more readily available) and not damaged are more desirable than damaged, all other things equal.
But these things are true of all collectibles.
Some people collect by topic (of picture); lighthouses, railroad engines, covered bridges. etc. Other people may have other criteria.
Collect the ones that you enjoy owning; that way, if you never sell your collection at a profit, you will have received your money's worth from having enjoyed yourself.
