Modified XBox Controllers Give You Rapid Fire

XBox 360 is one of the most popular video game systems today.  People play all sorts of games, and the online game community called XBox Live is extremely popular as well, especially with some of the newer games that allow people to play against their friends, such as Halo 3, Call of Duty, and Gears of War 2.  All of these games involve the aspect of shooting (often shooting at your friends in multiplayer mode).

In order to give some players an advantage in this area, people have begun to modify XBox controllers to give them special features such as rapid fire.  Under normal circumstances, you can only fire in the game as quickly as you can manually press the button, which has two main limitations: 1) this can eventually lead to thumb cramps (sometimes referred to as "videogame thumb") and 2) it can limit your progress and success in the game.  However, a player using a modified controller which includes a rapid fire option will never suffer from "videogame thumb" because all he will have to do is hold down the fire button, and he may also gain an advantage by being able to fire faster than normal and rack up more points or more kills (depending on the game).

The rapid fire will work on almost every game that would benefit from such a feature, from first person shooters (FPS), to space battle games, to sporting games where you can build power by pressing the button quickly.

Since XBox controllers do not come standard with a rapid fire option (the way some original Nintendo Entertainment System controllers did, such as the NES Max and NES Advantage), the only way to get rapid fire capabilities for XBox is through the use of modded controllers.

Hmmm... I cant see why not, though I am a little cynical when it comes to external perphierials and Windows Vista, primarily because driver support is really, really bad.

Ask the manufacturer or retailer before purchasing whether it will work on Vista Home Premium 32-Bit or not, are there any drivers included, or where can I find drivers which will support this device.
