Can anyone recommend a drill for jewellery making?

I have some shells and buttons that I'd like to make into necklaces, earrings etc. Can anyone tell me where I can find a drill or tool to make small holes in these items. Have looked on internet and in Argos catalogue but no luck. Many thanks.

A dremel will be perfect....its a hand held tool especially for things like jewellery....ive got mine a pendant lead and a stand so i dont actually have to bear the whole weight of it when im doing really intricate work...you can pick one up at b&q, and its got to be dremel...you can pick up much cheaper hand held electrical tools, but in my experience they are a waste of money....good luck x

I am still wearing the white brocade doublet Caroline gave me. It has a plain high collar, detachable sleeves, and intricate buttons of twisted silk thread, set close together so that the fit is snug. The doublet makes me think of a coverlet on a vast bed. Perhaps that was the intention.
