We're sure you'll agree, the flavor and texture of boxed pasta pales in comparison to fresh homemade pasta. But who has the time and energy for cranking dough through a manual machine? Fortunately that workhorse of the kitchen, your KitchenAid stand mixer is happy to do the work with this attachment. Make egg noodles, lasagna, tortellini, fettuccine, and angel hair pasta. Add herbs and seasonings to compliment any recipe.
If you have a passion for perfectly prepared pasta, try making your own delectable lasagna noodles, fettuccine, or linguine fini with this pasta roller set that fits all KitchenAid stand mixers. The three attachments include a pasta roller, a fettuccine cutter, and a linguine fini cutter. Just prepare pasta dough and form it into small rectangles which are then fed into one of the attachments. Out come uniform lasagna noodles, fettuccine, linguine, or angel hair pasta. The pasta can be enjoyed fresh or frozen or dried for later. Complete directions, cooking tips, and recipes are included, though cleaning the attachments can be a bit of a challenge, as they can't be washed in water, and any dried-on pasta particles must be removed with the included cleaning brush and toothpicks. --Marcie Bovetz

3D Technology Checklist This product is 3D-related. To help you get a great 3D experience, use our checklist below to ensure that you have everything you need. If you have any questions or want to learn more about 3D, we invite you to visit 3D 101--our center for everything 3D. To get started with 3D, please ensure that you have: A Display The first--and most important--item you'll need is a 3D-ready display--whether it be a 3D HDTV, 3D projector, or 3D computer monitor. These displays usually have a higher processing power than older models as they need to display one image for each eye to create a 3D effect. A Source While your display is ready for 3D playback, you still need a device to read 3D content (i.e., a movie or a show). This source can be a cable box with a subscription to a 3D channel, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player, or a PlayStation 3. Content In order to watch 3D, you will need to get some 3D content. This 3D content will come from the source mentioned above in the form of a 3D program, movie, or game. Please ensure that your 3D movies are in the Blu-ray 3D format, as this new format will provide the best 3D experience. 3D Glasses All 3D HDTVs on the market require Active Shutter glasses to create the 3D effect. You will need to buy one pair of glasses for each viewer. Also make sure that the Active Shutter glasses you buy are compatible with your display--for example, buy the glasses from the same brand as your 3D HDTV. HDMI Cable To connect your source (such as a 3D Blu-ray Disc player) to your display, you'll need a hgh-speed HDMI cable. Cables with this designation--with bandwidth speeds up to 10.2 Gbps (gigabits per second)--will be able to carry the 3D signal without any loss of quality. If you want to get more information about 3D, shop our 3D products, watch videos, or interact with other customers, visit 3D 101, our customer center about everything 3D. Experience TV programs, movies, games, and other video content with a 3D stereoscopic effect when you combine your compatible Mitsubishi HDTV with this 3D Starter Pack, which includes everything you need to start watching 3D video at home. It comes with a 3D Adapter with remote, two pair of Active 3D eyewear with matching emitter, and an HDMI cable. The Starter Pack also comes with a Disney Blu-ray Showcase Disc, which includes 3D trailers of A Christmas Carol, Alice In Wonderland, and Toy Story 3 along with an educational short on 3D presented by Disney's Timon and Pumba characters from The Lion King. Specifications Mitsubishi's 3D Starter Pack works with the following 3D-ready Mitsubishi HDTVs: 2007 Mitsubishi Models WD-57833* WD-65833* WD-73833* * feature named FX Gaming 2008 Mitsubishi Models WD-60735 WD-60C8 WD-65735 WD-65736 WD-65835 WD-65C8 WD-73735 WD-73736 WD-73835 WD-73C8 L65-A90 2009 Mitsubishi Models WD-60737 WD-60C9 WD-65737 WD-65837 WD-65C9 WD-73737 WD-73837 WD-73C9 WD-82737 WD-82837 2010 Mitsubishi Models WD-60638 WD-60C10 WD-60738 WD-65638 WD-65C10 WD-65738 WD-65838 WD-73638 WD-73C10 WD-73738 WD-73838 WD-82738 WD-82838 L75-A91 Frequently Asked Questions How is the new 3D TV technology different from older 3D? Prior to 2010, there have been 3D DVD titles that have come to market that use anaglyph glasses, which use lenses tinted red and cyan (or other colors) which are used to combine two false-color images. The result seen by the viewer is discolored and usually lower-resolution than the new method. The principal improvement of today's 3D technology is the use of active shutter and passive eyewear which are high contrast and provide for a better higher video resolution experience. Today's 3DTVs also have technology that enables 3D images to be rendered on screen as intended by the content providers. How is 3D TV different from 3D in the theater? 3DTV is a large screen, immersive experience. Many consumers have experienced 3D feature films at 3D movie theaters. The DLP technology is the technology used in majority of 3D cinema theaters. DLP is also the technology used in Mitsubishi 3D-Ready and Mitsubishi 3D TVs. In theaters, passive polarized 3D glasses are mainly used to view 3D movies. Most present day 3DTVs utilize active shutter glasses. Does everyone watching programming on a 3D TV need to wear 3D glasses? Yes. Everyone watching programming on a 3D TV must wear 3D glasses to properly see the 3D effect. Without 3D glasses, the image on the screen will appear doubled, distorted, and unwatchable. Currently, a technology does not exist which allows a single TV to display both 2D and 3D content simultaneously without 3D glasses.

The Bride of Frankenstein (Universal Studios Classic Monster Collection)
List Price: $14.98
Sale Price: $7.17

It appeared, at the end of the epochal 1931 horror movie Frankenstein, that the monster had perished in a burning windmill. But that was before the runaway success of the movie dictated a sequel. In Bride of Frankenstein, we see that the monster (once again played by Boris Karloff) survived the conflagration, as did his half-mad creator (Colin Clive). This remarkable sequel, universally considered superior to the original, reunites other key players from the first film: director James Whale (whose life would later be chronicled in Gods and Monsters) and, of course, the inimitable Dwight Frye, as Frankenstein's bent-over assistant. Whale brought campy humor to the project, yet Bride is also somehow haunting, due in part to Karloff's nuanced performance. The monster, on the loose in the European countryside, learns to talk, and his encounter with a blind hermit is both comic and touching. (The episode was later spoofed in Mel Brooks's Young Frankenstein.) A prologue depicts the author of Frankenstein, Mary Shelley, being urged to produce a sequel by her husband Percy and Lord Byron. She's played by Elsa Lanchester, who reappears in the climactic scene as the man-made bride of the monster. Her lightning-bolt hair and reptilian movements put her into the horror-movie pantheon, despite being onscreen for only a few moments. But in many ways the film is stolen by Ernest Thesiger, as the fey Dr. Pretorious, who toasts the darker possibilities of science: "To a new world of gods and monsters!" Absolutely. --Robert Horton
One of the most popular horror classics of all time and an acclaimed sequel to the original Frankenstein. The legendary Boris Karloff reprises his role as the screen's most understood monster who now longs for a mate of his own. Colin Clive is back as the overly ambitious Dr. Frankenstein, who creates the ill-faed bride (Elsa Lanchester). Directed by the original's James Whale (hislast horror film) and featuring a haunting musical score, The Bride of Frankenstein ranks as one of the finest films not only of the genre, but for all time. Starring: Boris Karloff, Elsa Lanchester, Colin Clive, Valerie Hobson, Ernest Thesiger, Gavin Gordon, Douglas Walton, Dwight Frye, O.P. Heggie, Una O'Connor Directed by: James Whale

Here are some more information for Model Kit:

Painting a plastic model kit is not easy and does require a bit of skills and tactics. In fact, a good or bad paint job will determine the fate of the finished product. Beginners should make use of low cost or defective model to practice their painting skill. Painting can be done either by spraying or using a brush. Spraying is easier and effective and takes a much shorter time to get the job done as compare to using a brush.
Here is a brief guide to paint an armor model:
1. Firstly, remove the tracks and the entire model associated sub assemblies. Clean them in warm water and dish washing detergent. Next, leave the pieces aside to dry thoroughly.
2. Always shake the aerosol spray can thoroughly before spraying. Test the spray can on scrap cardboard to ensure the paint is completely mixed and to determine the best working distance.
3. Aim and spray one side of the model by pressing the button. Move the spray across the surface to deposit a thin, even coat. Use this method to cover the entire surface by spraying from different angles. It is recommended to apply several light coats rather then heavy one. Repeat the process for the other side of the model.
4. Take extreme care to avoid too much buildup of wet paint on the surface. When it happens, stop spraying and let it dry before proceeding. In the event drips occur, immediately wipe them off with a tissue and spray over the area again before it becomes dry.
5. Use rounded artist brushes to hand paint small details. The consistency of the paint should be right to achieve a good result. To control the paint consistency, always transfer it to a separate container or a piece of glass and test its quality on a piece of scrap material. In order to maintain the proper paint consistency, add a drop of thinner when necessary.
6. Masking application: Let the painted surface has at least 24 hours to set before you start applying masking tape to it, otherwise the tap may lift the paint. During implementation, rub the masking tape edges down tightly to keep paint from creeping underneath.
As a beginner, you can use aerosol spray paints which will give good results, though not as good as an airbrush. Spray cans are convenient, but you do not have a wide variety of colors to choose from and you cannot control the amount of paint or pressure. When you become more experienced and skillful, you can consider to invest in an airbrush system.
Paper Bird Models – A Fun And Affordable Hobby
Building models can be a fun and rewarding pastime. Few hobbies offer the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment that a well-built model can. Dedication, patience, attention to detail, and hard work can transform a variety of materials and parts into a finished craft that not only resembles a real-world object or animal, but also represents yourself, much as would a piece of art.
When you compare art to model making there are similarities and differences. Similarly they both take the same creative skills and discipline; however there are several key differences. One difference is that making art can be very expensive. Paint, canvas, sculpting supplies, and tools can sometimes be cost-prohibitive, especially for those just starting. Model kits on the other hand can be quite affordable depending on the size, scale and materials. Models come in many shapes sizes and materials; most common are plastic and resin molded to the shape of the desired object; however other materials can also be used, from balsa wood to card stock or paper.
Model building has always been popular in tough economic times. It offers an affordable way to pass the time while exercising mental discipline and creative skills. It also offers a rewarding end product that one can display for their own or others enjoyment. If you are on a budget paper or card stock models is the way to go. Not only are kits affordable, but also the tools and materials needed are fairly common and inexpensive. All that's really needed is to decide on a subject.
When most people think of models they think of plastic cars, boats or planes, the kits commonly found in major retail stores, but models come in a great variety of shapes and sizes. One need not confine themselves to models of man-made objects either. Many kits exist that reproduce people and animals as well as creatures from movies and imagination.
Building models offers more than an exercise in patience and dexterity. It is an opportunity, an opportunity to learn more about your subject. Whether it is a car, a train, or an animal, most who build models already have a keen interest in their subject. Building a model of that subject one becomes more intimate with its every curve and contour. It offers a chance to get up close and personal with things one might not otherwise be able to see. Models of animals in particular are like no others in this way.
Animals, especially wild animals, can prove to be quite difficult subjects to get close to. Birds in particular are almost impossible to approach, let alone observe in a way a model would allow. Birders spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars on lenses, optics and travel to get closer to their favorite subjects. Building a model is not only less expensive, but gives you a means to interact with the bird in a way most will never be able to do with the real thing. It offers a more visceral experience than a two-dimensional photograph, and is more interactive than a visit to the zoo. The details of a good quality bird model reflect its subject and bring its builder a keener appreciation for their attributes.
Affordable quality bird models can be difficult to find. The Birdmobile paper bird models, available exclusively in the United States through the Northwest Nature Shop of Ashland, Oregon are both inexpensive and detailed. The Birdmobile company was originally created by Malcolm Topp in 1973. He designed and patented all the models they offer. The models are beautifully painted and extremely realistic when assembled. Though they are manufactured in Great Britain many of birds they represent are found all across the globe. Not only that, but these models are NOT scale models, they are life-sized and therefore offer the kind of experience a real bird enthusiast will appreciate. They represent a variety of species with the larger and more complex models being more challenging to make.
Several things can be appealing about these models. Being made of paper they are inexpensive and lightweight and require no special tools or supplies to construct. All you really need to build them is a pair of scissors and some glue. They can also be a great way to encourage interest in nature, or as part of an educational exercise. Teachers can create a lesson around the bird, its evolution, migratory patterns and their importance in the ecosystem. They can then follow up with a hands-on activity of model building to help students solidify their understanding. Not only that, but they end up with a physical reminder of what they learned at the end. For young students especially the process of building the model offers lessons beyond those planned by a teacher. Kids will learn how to follow instructions, have patience and concentration, as well as to use fine motor skills. All of these factor into the final product as well, rewarding those skills with a finished model that represents the effort put into it.
Building these models offers a distinct challenge to ones skills, but the creativity does not end there. The displaying of a well built model or group of models can be a challenge unto itself. All the Birdmobile paper bird models are made to be displayed with string and hung from the ceiling as if to capture the bird in flight. There is not much that is a more spectacular sight than a full-sized Osprey clutching a freshly caught brown trout soaring through your room. You don't have to stop there though. Imagine a flock of swallows dipping and diving across your ceiling, or a family of spotted woodpeckers nesting in an old log in one corner. A kit is a great place to start, but there's no reason to confine yourself only to what the kit offers. Your creative ambition and interest can carry you beyond the borders of a kit to create truly remarkable scenes and setups. Advanced modelers often modify or adapt kits to create unique displays or dioramas both beautiful to behold and satisfying to build.
If you are looking for an affordable, creative way to educate, encourage, or inspire interest in nature there are few things that can offer as many benefits as a paper bird model. They require an impressive array of mental and physical skills to complete, but the challenge is rewarded upon completion with satisfaction, pride and a sense of accomplishment. Let us not forget though that as a hobby building models should also be fun.

What's the different between Rubik's Cube DIY kit Model (a) and Model (c) and Model (f)?
What's the different between Rubik's Cube DIY kit Model (a) and Model (c) and Model (f)?
Model (a) is a very sturdy cube that is known for having a great turning speed. Type (c) is similar to the rubik's diy, but it is considered to be better in some ways. Type (f) is a cube with very rounded pieces, so it can cut corners without being lubricated, but it does react well to any lubricants. There are 2 rubik's diy's... the japanese speedcubing kit and the regular diy. The regular diy is a great cube, but the newer molds aren't very good. If you could get your hands on a 2006 model, it would be great. The japanese speedcubing kit is a very good cube, and some people prefer this to any other cube...
These are all good cubes, and you can't really say one of these alone can be the best, because it is all about personal preference. The type c and type f should have the core swapped with an old type a though.
