Turbo-charged comic Jack Black shakes School of Rock to its foundations, wailing with born-again metalhead passion as Dewey Finn, a guitarist who gets kicked out of a band because he grandstands too much--or, to put it another way, enjoys himself. Through an intercepted phone call, Finn gets a job as a substitute teacher for a fifth grade class at a private grade school. Neither students nor teacher quite know what to do with each other until Finn discovers that some of his young charges can play instruments; at once he starts turning them into a blistering rock & roll troupe that can crush his former band at an upcoming competition. School of Rock is silly and formulaic, but director Richard Linklater (Dazed and Confused), writer Mike White (The Good Girl), and especially Black and co-star Joan Cusack invest the formulas with such glee that the movie is irresistibly fun. --Bret Fetzer

Life without parental supervision or an annoying younger sister seems like a dream come true to Drake and Josh in Drake and Josh Go Hollywood, but the reality of being on their own in the real world proves much more difficult than either teenager could possibly imagine. Drake and Josh anticipate 10 days of doing exactly what they want when their parents leave town for a cruise and their sister Megan heads for Colorado to see a friend. Unfortunately, Drake and Josh mistakenly put Megan on a flight bound for Los Angeles and then feel compelled to jump on the next flight to try to catch her. After an eventful flight, the pair tracks her down at an exclusive hotel, manages to worm their way into a live-feed concert opportunity for Drake's band on MTV's hot "TRL" television program, and somehow finds themselves mixed up in a money-printing scam that endangers both Drake's and Josh's life. Can a couple of teenagers and their little sister outsmart these seasoned crooks and manage to get to the studio in time for Drake's all-important band gig? (Ages 7 and older) --Tami Horiuchi
Josh's first assignment in his creative writing program is to write about his greatest adventure. Well, there's the time he an his brother accidentally put their tween sister, Megan, on a plane to Los Angeles, managed to book Drake a gig to perform on MTV's very own TRL, and got involved with one of the FBI's top-ten criminals. How's that for a story?

Nickelodeon's fresh teen comedy (a successful spin off of The Amanda Show) displays the uncanny comedic talents of Drake Bell and Josh Peck as 15-year-old stepbrothers who are thrown together as roommates when Drake's mother marries Josh's father. Polar opposites in personality, the boys must navigate their way through a myriad of adjustments in their newly blended family. In the first of this two-episode program (from the TV series), Drake discovers that Josh is an undercover advice columnist for the school newspaper using the pseudonym "Miss Nancy." Tensions mount when girl-crazy Drake decides to exploit Josh's "insider information" to attract the school's hottest pick, Tiffany. The second segment, "Dune Buggy" takes a humorous yet insightful look at the "art" of lying--is it a character quality or flaw? The overall show works because of the unmistakable chemistry and physical comedy of its stars, who have been lauded as modern-day Felix and Oscar (of The Odd Couple). Parents will appreciate the program's G-rated humor and refreshing absence of offensive innuendoes. (Ages 8 and older) --Lynn Gibson

Here are some more information for Miranda Cosgrove:

When iCarly first aired on Nickelodeon in 2007, the show broke new ground for kid's sitcoms. It quickly became one of Nickelodeon's most popular shows. By 2009 it had officially topped the charts and was voted best TV show at the Kid's Choice Awards. Why has this simple show grown to such heights? Let me explain.
The show's concept revolves around a teenage girl named Carly Shay, played by Miranda Cosgrove (of Drake and Josh) and her best friends Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie (Nathan Cress). The three teens produce and star in a web show called icarly.com. Carly lives with her older brother Spencer (Jerry Trainor) who acts as her legal guardian and the adult figure on the show. The four main characters are joined by several bit characters that add quite a bit of comedic heart to the show. The cast work great together and are both sincere and often quite funny. Jennette McCurdy already shows remarkable comedic timing and I would be surprised if she doesn't have a long and successful career in comedy. Cosgrove is multi-talented and has numerous music CDs to her credit in addition to her many acting credits.
Another of the keys to the shows success is the integration of technology into the structure of the show. Today's teens are hard-wired for technology and the show not only draws them in with the web show concept, but in a stroke of pure genius, actually allows a viewer to use today's technology to be part of the show. At the official iCarly website, fans can upload their own homemade web broadcasts and videos, with the best ones possibly finding their way onto the television show.
The script and cast also make the show very likeable. Carly and the gang act like kids not adults or caricatures of kids as on so many other shows. They are intelligent and thoughtful yet can be hysterically funny at times as well. They dress like the youths of today and listen to modern music. Even adults can relate to and enjoy the show. Whether it reminds you of yourself or your kids, it is fun to watch the weekly problems that the kids get themselves into and how they get out of it. As a parent of two teen girls, I really like the independence and intelligence that the girls show on a weekly basis. I would be proud if my kids strove to emulate Carly and Sam as opposed to some of the other programs that are shown on television
I really like the show a lot. Many of the show I sit and try to watch with my kids are quite honestly tough to sit through. iCarly is entertaining and I appreciate it for that. The cast is top-notch and the writing is light and effective. I predict a long run of success for the show as one of Nickelodeon's star attractions.
With the show rolling along at full speed and with Miranda Cosgrove signing a monster contract, the show seems to be here for the long haul. As would be expected the marketing is also going full speed ahead. Games, clothes, electronics, music CDs, posters, jewelry and backpacks only scratch the tip of the available products. Don't be the only kid to be left out in the cold. Join the iCarly revolution at http://icarlytoys.com and get the latest and greatest iCarly toys and collectibles.
New Nickelodeon Show, Icarly, a Huge Hit
It didn't take long for Nickelodeon to realize they had a hit on their hands and increase the number of shows in production. And why shouldn't they? The shows executive Producer is none other than Dan Schneider, the man who brought you Drake & Josh. Originally Nickelodeon only committed to the purchase of 13 episodes, but it then raised the number to 20, and even later all the way up to 40! This is a huge commitment to a brand new show, but test audiences and the reception by pre-teen fans has supported Nickelodeon's decision.
iCarly stars Miranda Cosgrove fresh off her role of Megan on Drake and Josh, which was another Nickelodeon hit.
The cast is rounded out by Jennette McCurdy, who plays Carly's best friend Sam, Nathan Kress, who plays the lovesick techno geek, Freddie, and Jerry Trainor, who plays Carly's older brother Spencer. Jerry is fairly famous for his role as Crazy Steve on Drake & Josh.
The storyline for how Carly, Sam and Freddie first began their wWeb show, iCarly goes like this: Sam, Carly's best friend, took their teacher's (Ms. Briggs) head and photoshopped it onto the body of a rhinoceros. Ms. Briggs found out and Carly took the blame because Sam would have been expelled from school because of her bad record. As punishment Ms. Briggs made Carly come in on Saturday and conduct all of the school's talent show auditions.
Carly decided since it was all Sam's fault that she would have to help her, and poor old love sick Freddie agreed to help tape the auditions just to be around Carly. Most of the auditions were lame with the exception of a few of them. Freddie started getting a little bored and began taping Carly and Sam when they started making fun of Ms. Briggs without knowing about it.
Everything went fine until Freddie was supposed to download the auditions to the Web. He screwed up and downloaded the footage of Carly and Sam making fun of Ms. Briggs instead. They couldn't get the tape down for the weekend and in that time over 23,000 people had seen it. A bunch of people posted saying that they loved the video, and Carly, Sam, and Freddie decided that they should do their own show and call it iCarly.
Their first full live show was a huge success and now Carly and Sam are stars on their own web show.
We love the cast and concept of iCarly. It is the first show to marry Webcasting to television broadcasting to appeal to the growing population of "wired" kids. Kids can watch the show, see a webcast embedded in the television show, visit the iCarly Web site that overlaps with the webcast on the television show, and then, if they really want to be creative, make their own video to be sent to iCarly and possibly be on TV.
We predict that iCarly will be a huge hit! And to prove it, there are already iCarly fan sites up on the web. One of which is http://www.iCarly-Show.com

Any truth to this Miranda Cosgrove rumour?
Hi guys...
I was on a news website the other day and I was looking at a story about Britney Spears and the video tape that her ex-boyfriend has of her and is trying to sell. On the forum someone said that there is also a Miranda Cosgrove cell phone s*x video being circulated. I thought this was rubbish but then another person posted a message that also said it was legit. They seemed to know a bit about it. Does anyone know if this is true? Has anone else heard about this?
i,ve seen this starting to do the rounds in the last few weeks too. I have a feeling it might be true. Surprising... but maybe true.
Miranda Cosgrove signs on for more "iCarly"
She's only 16 and headlines a kids' cable series, but Miranda Cosgrove now boasts a paycheck that could rival that of many established broadcast sitcom actors.
Thanks for visiting!
