Who do black men get treated with so little respect by the general public?

I notice little things about the way society treat black men. People are not as polite to blacks men, they do not so appreciation when assisted by black men....all these little things just show a general disrespect.

I am a black male who has been treated both fairly and unfairly. It depends on where you are.

I had to travel to Salt Lake City , UT two years ago and I met some of the nicest people I've ever talked to in my life. The trip was great. I did get searched at the airport though. That was depite the fact I was with a co-worker of Egyptian decent that looked Arabic. Win some and lose some.

Here at home in Atlanta, I get the bad end of the stick many times. I get followed in stores. Believe it or not, I get called 'boy' by some of the older people of another race. I just think they were raised that way and they don't know any better now.

I combat stereotypes by living my life through Christ the best way I know possible. I can't lose that way.

As for kids, I have one daughter. My wife and I love her and I am very involved in her life. I can echo the same comments about 90% of the black males I know.

However, the media will only show you the 10%. Those are the 10% that commit stupid crimes such as murdering an NFL player to rob his home.

The very unfortunate matter is most crimes that are reported in the media that are commited by a black person is viewed as something the whole race does. When another race commits a similar crime, it is viewed as an isolated incident. That's just my opinion but I've seen it first hand.
