Three generations of rock guitarists come together for It Might Get Loud, a 2009 documentary directed by Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth). These are not just your garden-variety guitar gods: Jimmy Page, in his mid-'60s at the time of the film, founded Led Zeppelin, who dominated the 1970s following the breakup of the Beatles. As a member of U2, 48-year-old David Evans, better known as the Edge, created one of the most distinctive and influential sounds of the past quarter century. And 34-year-old Jack White (of the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, and the Dead Weather) was described by one music publication as "the most significant rock 'n' roll figure of the past ten years." Guggenheim, who followed the three around for the better part of a year, takes us into their individual lives, past and present. There are shots of Page as a young London session musician, with the Yardbirds and Zeppelin, at Headley Grange (the estate where much of the fourth Zep album was made), and at home with his record collection. The Edge takes us to the Dublin classroom where U2 first rehearsed, as well as to the practice room he uses now (never a virtuoso soloist, he developed a style based on texture and a mind-boggling array of effects); and White, whose insistence on authenticity is admirable but perhaps a tad self-conscious, constructs a "guitar" from a plank of wood, a piece of wire, and a Coke bottle (he also plays a recording by the primitive bluesman Son House, featuring just voice and handclaps, that White says is still his biggest inspiration). The three also converge on a Hollywood sound stage, where they chat and a do a little jamming on Zep's "In My Time of Dying" (with all three playing slide guitar) and the Band's "The Weight." It's hard to say if the film's appeal will extend beyond guitar freaks and fans of these particular bands, but at the very least, It Might Get Loud offers some interesting insight into the soul and inspiration behind some of pop's best and most popular music. --Sam Graham
What happens when three of the world's finest rock guitarists gather to discuss music? Spanning 1975-1997, Fleetwood Mac's most commercially successful era, this collection contains 36 hit singles and favorite album tracks, including ""Go Your Own Way,"" ""Dreams,"" ""You Make Loving Fun,"" ""Rhiannon,"" ""Silver Springs,"" ""Say You Love Me,"" ""Over"My Head,"" ""Tusk,"" ""Don't Stop,"" and ""Hold Me.""No Track Information AvailableMedia Type: CDArtist: FLEETWOOD MACTitle: VERY BEST OF FLEETWOOD MACStreet Release Date: 10/15/2002
Spanning 22 years, this double-disc, 36-track compilation chronicles the initially unlikely and ultimately triumphant conflation of a failing, veteran English neo-blues band (Mick Fleetwood and the McVies) with a pair of mercurial American also-rans (the baroque folk-rock genius Lindsey Buckingham and crypto-songbird Stevie Nicks). The creative alchemy was immediate, as 15 epochal tracks ("Dreams," "Say You Love Me," "The Chain," "Don't Stop") from Fleetwood Mac and Rumours here attest. They could have arguably repeated that mega-successful formula for a decade, but chose a more musically expansive tack, represented "Sara," Think About Me" and the other core tracks drawn from the ambitious Tusk. While the band's megahit luster faded as the solo careers of Buckingham and Nicks took flight in the '80s, their power was still apparent in the dusky-bright pop of Christine McVie's "Hold Me" and "Little Lies." Sequenced with compelling listening rather than chronology in mind, this set also includes the strongest of the Mac's latter-day recordings (Nicks's "Paper Doll," "Silver Springs," and "No Questions Asked"; McVie's "As Long As You Follow"), as well the Lindsey Buckingham showcases "Go Insane" and "Big Love" from '97's The Dance. --Jerry McCulley

A magical adaptation of the children's gem by Frances Hodgson Burnett detailing the adventures of the daughter of a British Army captain living in India in 1914. When her father is called to military service, the girl is sent to a New York girls' school, where she enchants her classmates and annoys the stern headmistress with her fantastic stories. Liesel Matthews, Eleanor Bron star. 97 min. Standard and Widescreen; Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital stereo, French Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles: English, French, Spanish; production notes; theatrical trailers.
After the critical success of 1993's The Secret Garden, Warner Bros. returned to the novels of Frances Hodgson Burnett to create this 1995 adaptation of A Little Princess, which instantly ranked with The Secret Garden as one of the finest children's films of the 1990s. Neither film was a huge box-office success, but their quality speaks for itself, and A Little Princess has all the ingredients of a timeless classic. A marvel of production design, the film features lavish sets built almost entirely on a studio backlot in Burbank, California. The story opens in New York just before the outbreak of World War I, when young Sara (Liesel Matthews) is enrolled in private boarding school while her father goes off to war. Under the domineering scrutiny of the school's wicked headmistress, Miss Minchen (Eleanor Bron), Sara quickly becomes popular with her schoolmates, but fate intervenes and she soon faces a stern reversal of fortune, resorting to wild flights of fancy to cope with an unexpectedly harsh reality. Rather than label her fanciful tales as escapist fantasy, A Little Princess actively encourages a child's power of imagination--a power that can be used to learn, grow, and adapt to a world that is often cruel and difficult. It's also one of the most visually beautiful films of the '90s and creates a fully detailed world within the boarding school--a place where imagination is vital to survival. A first-class production in every respect, this is one family film that should (if it's not too stuffy to say it) be considered required viewing for parents and kids alike. --Jeff Shannon

Set in and around a quaint French village during the late 18th century, Beauty and the Beast follows the fantastic adventures of Belle, a brightand beautiful young woman who finds escape from her ordinary life, and the advances of a boorish suitor, Gaston, by reading books. Meanwhile, off in a castle in the distance, a cruel young prince is cast under the spell of an enchantress who turns him into a tormented beast, while transforming his servants into animated household objects. In order to remove the curse, the Beast must discover a true love who will return his affection before the last petal falls from an enchanted rose. When Belle's inventor father stumbles upon the Beast's castle and is taken prisoner, Belle comes to the rescue and agrees to take her father's place. With the help of the castle's enchanted staff, she sees beneath the Beast's exterior and discovers the heart and soul of a human prince.Features include: •MPAA Rating: G•Format: Blu-Ray•Runtime: 85 minutes
The film that officially signaled Disney's animation renaissance (following The Little Mermaid) and the only animated feature to receive a Best Picture Oscar nomination, Beauty and the Beast remains the yardstick by which all other animated films should be measured. It relates the story of Belle, a bookworm with a dotty inventor for a father; when he inadvertently offends the Beast (a prince whose heart is too hard to love anyone besides himself), Belle boldly takes her father's place, imprisoned in the Beast's gloomy mansion. Naturally, Belle teaches the Beast to love. What makes this such a dazzler, besides the amazingly accomplished animation and the winning coterie of supporting characters (the Beast's mansion is overrun by quipping, dancing household items) is the array of beautiful and hilarious songs by composer Alan Menken and the late, lamented lyricist Howard Ashman. (The title song won the 1991 Best Song Oscar, and Menken's score scored a trophy as well.) The downright funniest song is "Gaston," a lout's paean to himself (including the immortal line, "I use antlers in all of my de-co-ra-ting"). "Be Our Guest" is transformed into an inspired Busby Berkeley homage. Since Ashman's passing, animated musicals haven't quite reached the same exhilarating level of wit, sophistication, and pure joy. --David Kronke --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Disney's 1959 animated effort was the studio's most ambitious to date, a widescreen spectacle boasting a gorgeous waltz-filled score adapting Tchaikovsky. In the 14th century, the malevolent Maleficent (not dissimilar to the wicked Queen in Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs taunts a king that his infant Aurora will fatally prick her finger on a spinning wheel before sundown on her 16th birthday. This, of course, would deny her a happily-ever-after with her true love. Things almost but not quite turn out that way, thanks to the assistance of some bubbly, bumbling fairies named Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather. It's not really all that much about the title character--how interesting can someone in the middle of a long nap be, anyway? Instead, those fairies carry the day, as well as, of course, good Prince Phillip, whose battle with the malevolent Maleficent in the guise of a dragon has been co-opted by any number of animated films since. See it in its original glory here. And Malificent's castle, filled with warthogs and demonic imps in a macabre dance celebrating their evil ways, manages a certain creepy grandeur. --David Kronke On the Blu-raySleeping Beauty was the last and most lavish of Walt Disney's animated fairy tales. He told the artists not to hurry and to give him "a moving illustration": The film required almost four and one-half years and one million finished drawings. Instead of the 19th century storybook illustrations that had influenced the look of Snow White and Pinocchio, the artists adapted the flattened perspective and jewel-like colors of 15th century French illuminated manuscripts. The results remain unmatched for sheer visual opulence. However, Sleeping Beauty suffers from a weak story: the vision of an ageless princess slumbering in a vine-shrouded tower was replaced with elements of Snow White and a boy-meets-girl musical. The evil Maleficent and the three Good Fairies (Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather) dominate the film, rather than Princess Aurora and Prince Philip. Sleeping Beauty was originally released in 70mm, and the Blu-ray edition restores the film to its original splendor. (Many earlier releases trimmed the wide-screen images and/or muted the glowing palatte.) The Bonus DVD looks good on a flat screen monitor, but it pales in comparison to the richness of the Blu-ray. In addition to the commentaries and a making-of documentary, the set includes myriad extras that vary widely in quality. Nostalgia buffs will enjoy the recreation of the old Sleeping Beauty's Castle attraction in Disneyland, and the TV program "Four Artists Paint One Tree" provides a welcome showcase for key talents from the film. But the CG animation of the dragon and the voice imitations of the Good Fairies fail to capture the magic of the originals in the "Dragon Encounter"; the "Maleficent's Challenge Game"--a hi-tech Twenty Questions--sounds only vaguely like the redoubtable sorceress. The BD-Live features require an awful lot of bother: after wading through (or ignoring) 130 screens of legalese, participants must enter their Social Security number or other personal information in the drawn-out sign-on process. Once that's finally done, viewers can send special messages to pop up during the film, chat online with others who are watching, and view it in synch with others. The question is whether or not you want to. (Rated G: violence) --Charles Solomon Stills from Sleeping Beauty (Click for larger image)
A beautiful princess born in a faraway kingdom is destined by a terrible curse to prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and fall into a deep sleep which can only be awakened by true love's first kiss. Though the titular princess is on par with the rest of Disney's essential heroines, most of the fun arises from the trio of charming fairies entrusted with her care: Flora, Fauna, and Meriweather. Meanwhile the evil Malificent may just be Disney's most chilling villainess. This classic makes wondrous use of Tchaikovsky's same-titled ballet score, which earned SLEEPING BEAUTY an Academy Award nomination for Best Scoring of a Musical Picture.

Here are some more information for Little House:

Houses for sale by owner are more common than ever. The "by owner" method used to be thought of as unprofessional but that's no longer the case. There's plenty of advice available in Internet FSBO (For Sale By Owner) discussion groups where "houses for sale by owner" buyers and sellers congregate to talk about their experiences.
A house for sale by owner means that a Real Estate Agent (REA) is not involved in the transaction. Since the average person moves every three to five years, and the average REA commission runs from 6,000 to $10,000, the FSBO route can save over $100,000 in commissions over the average lifetime! But there is a price to pay in return for saving those commissions because the seller will have to perform the duties the REA customarily performs.
What are those duties? It starts with advertising the home and arranging the showings, but it also includes making the legal disclosure requirements, purchase and sales agreement negotiation, arranging for title transfer and closing, plus handling the other details that inevitably come up before the deal closes.
You can be part of the house for sale by owner trend without having to be 100% on your own. If you're concerned about the legal aspects of selling your home, you can hire a Real Estate Attorney to navigate the legal maze for you. What kind of legal issues do you potentially face? Here are just a few:
Completing the Residential Property Disclosure Form.
Completing the Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Form.
Distributing the EPA's Lead Based Paint Hazards Booklet.
Drafting the proper Warranty Deeds.
Drafting the Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement.
These are not tasks to be undertaken by the uninformed! If you're considering selling your home FSBO and feeling a little nervous about all that it entails, you're not alone. Fortunately, there are many FSBO guides and for sale by owner tips to help you out and they're all on the Internet!
Houses For Sale By Owner can also be listed on FSBO web sites and in publications which are the functional equivalent to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) used by Realtors. Actual MLS listings are also available for a flat fee of around $250 to $600 depending upon where you live.
You can also list your home in many of the Real Estate Classifieds magazines that are given away at newsstands and convenience stores. All of this helps to generate traffic to your home so you can be part of the money-saving House For Sale By Owner trend!

What Are Your Plans For Hen House ?
What! You don't have any plans for hen house? Why ever not? Haven't you heard about how amazingly beneficial hen house can be for the environment?
If you're like most people, you've probably never even considered building a hen house of your own. This is probably because of two things. You never really even think about hen houses (I mean really, how many people think about hen houses on a daily basis?) and the advantages of hen houses have never truly been brought to life in your eyes. Let's change both of those things.
Hen houses are as old as time itself. As soon as the first person ate the first chicken egg, they were well sought after. But who wants to run after chickens and raid their nests every day? That's not worth the effort! So someone (Who must be a genius, I might add) thought "Hey, Let's make a little house for these chickens so they are comfortable and we don't have to go chasing after them all day!" Those "little houses" were later coined hen houses.
Now that you know a little about hen houses, you are going to think about them every day aren't you? No? Ok then, let's get down to the nitty gritty and illuminate the blessings that you'd receive if you were to build your very own hen house. Then you'll think about hen houses every day, I'd bet.
For one, your house would take a step in the green direction. Being green is all about using earth's resources to the fullest and wasting nothing. So how do hen houses help with that? Well for one, you are able to recycle your old food (Table scraps anyone?) into the hen house, and out come fresh, delicious eggs. At no charge to you, I might add. You can also use chicken's waste for fertilizer! No more paying absurd amounts of money for dignified cow poop, now you can use your own hen house to make your plants healthy and strong.
For two, you'd save quite a bit of money. It's not going to pay your mortgage, by any means, but it will cut down on the number of items in your grocery list! Think about how often you buy eggs, and then imagine yourself never, ever having to buy eggs again. You also save money on fertilizer!
So what are your plans for hen house? Hopefully by now you have at least some! You should check out this e-book that I bought when I did my research on chicken coops. It's the first, and last, place you'll ever need to look for more information on chicken coops!
Here is a full review of this hen house plan

Va. House, Senate budget negotiators make little progress
House of Delegates and Senate budget negotiators practiced shuttle diplomacy today but made little headway on reaching an agreement. “Not a lot of progress,“ said Del. S. Chris Jones, R-Suffolk. “We talked a lot but didn’t make much progress,“ said Sen. Charles J. Colgan, D-Prince William, chairman of the Senate Finance Committee.
