Another great place to shop for Larry David products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Larry David: "No Time For Tact: 365 Days of the Wit, Words, and Wisdom of Larry Winget" is a sort of greatest hits from the Pitbull of Personal Development. The book goes from January 1st through December 31st with one thought per day. In the note from Larry at the beginning, he confesses that he really likes books that cover a variety of topics and that have one thought per page and daily readings. So he's happy that he wrote one, and if you enjoy Winget's direct, no-nonsense style, you'll be happy too. Winget himself considers this a "Best of Larry" type book. So if you have read all of his other books, you will be familiar with the contents of this one. The advice is just formatted different. If you haven't read any of Winget's books, this one will give you a very good idea of what he and his advice are like. Some days have very short and direct messages, like the message on January 2, "Expect the best. Be prepared for the worst. Celebrate it all!" Other passages, such as on January 3, fill up two pages. (None of the 365 lessons are longer than two pages.) I've read all of Winget's books, and I really like his message on achieving your full potential and personal responsibility. I also really enjoy quote books, and daily message books. With that said, I obviously enjoyed "No Time For Tact." I didn't take a year to read it, but read it straight through over a period of a few days. It was fun and motivating to read. I see myself keeping it handy to pick up and read the day's lesson, and maybe a few more periodically. Not sure if I'll read it every day, but I'll definitely look to this book for jolts of motivation and common sense once in a while. If you're a Winget fan and want short doses of his wisdom in this style of book, you'll enjoy it. If you are not familiar with Winget, this would be a good place to start. If you don't like him, you won't like this book and most likely won't like this review. I bought it, read it, enjoyed it, and will read it again. Cutler asked Caretsky, “How does a company like Commence compete against the Goliath of Salesforce.com and other CRM giants that are publicly traded and well-financed?” Caretsky answered, “Well in this “pay to play industry” it is hard to rise above the noise of Microsoft and Saleforce.com. The way Commence succeeds is to simply be better at one or two aspects of the business then the big guys. Commence has been very clear in differentiation and continues to quietly and consistently earn new customers and build solid references. The single most significant differentiator Commence possessed versus the big CRM giants is our business model. Saleforce.com’s objective, for example, is to sell their solution to as many companies as possible regardless of size or industry. The only way to do this is to develop a generic set of features that supports the general business requirements of companies across all industries. This one size fits all approach does not work in all industry sectors. Salesforce.com has recognized this short-coming and created an add-on development tool that allows for the customization of their CRM solution. The problem is that the SMB space has no interest in doing custom development, nor has the infrastructure to support it.” Commence CRM, unlike Salesforce.com, is developing specific vertical industry solutions that are already tailored to the unique business requirements of the customers in each particular sector. The result…customers can achieve a rapid return on their investment (ROI) without costly development work. Commence currently has a tailored solution for manufacturers and distributors and a construction vertical CRM is in development. About the Author Commence Corporation Curb Your Enthusiasm fans: Why is Larry David such an a--? NOTE: I love Larry David.
He's not an *** he's idiosyncratic.. lol ... It's just his take on the world and his views on how things are "supposed to be" that are so funny. I love all the situations he ends up in. I love the "fish-out-of-water" scenarios. He's constantly "in trouble" with his wife. He always has to apologize to someone for something. It's hilarious. He constantly takes things to the Nth degree. He can never just let things go. It makes for hilarious television. I can't wait until the sixth season !! 'Marriage Ref': Having a tiff? Comedians mediate marital woes. Sounds genius, but why isn't it funnier? Having been promoted heavily by NBC throughout the Olympics -- "promoted senseless," I almost wrote -- “The Marriage Ref” premiered, or was sneak-previewed, Sunday night in what on the West Coast was the middle of the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics.
