The only mystery here is whether Scoob will leave the Mystery Machine gang to go solo. Featuring a laugh track, some musical numbers (!), and the Great Dane hanging with such '70s icons as Charlie's Angels and a disco queen in Qiana, the framing for this 49-minute show is framed as a screen test for a show- biz heavyweight. Shaggy plays agent while his canine sidekick gets to play cowboy for a face-off at high noon and don a leather jacket to wow the ladies as a canine Fonz in "Scooby Days." This leaves Fred, Daphne, and Velma with frighteningly little to do. Originally a television special in 1979, this third--or so-- incarnation of Scooby-Doo and friends features the original series' voices (Casey Kasem, etc.), except for Velma (here voiced by Pat Stevens). Young Scooby fans (3 and up) will enjoy the humor, but Scooby purists will want to stick with the mysteries. --Kimberly Heinrichs
Scooby-Doo Goes Hollywood (WBFE) (CS) The gang goes to Hollywood as Scooby stars in his first film. When a creepy creature wants to put a stop to the film, Scooby must solve the mystery to ensure his star status remains intact.

Enslaved by Pharaoh, monarch of ancient Egypt, the Hebrews are forced to labor beneath the blazing desert sun, without rest and without hope. But then, from among the slaves, there emerges a leader who's not afraid to confront Pharaoh. His name is Moses. When Moses demands that his people be let free, Pharaoh reacts with scorn, because he has behind him all the power of a great kingdom. But Moses is backed by the power of God. Thus begins a titanic struggle between two determined men, with Moses calling down increasingly destructive plagues to break Pharaoh's hold on the Hebrews. The story reaches a thrilling climax when Moses and his people find themselves trapped between an angry army and a deep sea. "Moses" is one in a series of Bible episodes seen through the eyes of three young visitors from the 20th Century. THE GREATEST ADVENTURE: Stories From The Bible is produced directly for home video by Hanna-Barbera Productions, the world's leading producer of animated entertainment.

SCOOBY DOO WHERE ARE YOU SEASONS 1-2 - DVD Movie
Chuck Jones and other great studio animators sneered at the cheap look and lazy craftsmanship of Hanna Barbera's television cartoons in the 1960s, but there's no question HB's original, 35-year-old Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! is enduringly beloved. The Complete First and Second Seasons includes all 25 stories first broadcast from September '69 to October '71, a growth period in which canine hero Scooby's voice (by Don Messick, who also voiced The Jetsons's pup, Astro) was gradually refined from murky garble to Scoob's more familiar, "Rrroowwrr"-inflected, human-like speech. This set also represents the pre-frills Scooby-Doo: no guest appearances by Don Knotts or Batman, no Scrappy-Doo--just adventure and occasional bubblegum pop tunes by Danny Janssen and sundry co-writers (e.g., "Pretty Mary Sunlite" in the episode "Don't Fool with a Phantom"). Watching all the shows back-to-back reveals evolving complexity in the scripts. Over time, Scooby-Doo's creators added multiple bad guys in cahoots with major villains, and developed sub-plots, backstories, and even appealing allies and friends of Mystery, Inc., a traveling band of young debunkers of supernatural phenomena. Riding around in their psychedelic Mystery Van, preppie leader Fred and his friends--haughty Daphne, brainy Velma, quasi-hippie Shaggy, and Shaggy's best pal, Scooby, an excitable Great Dane--chase down and are chased by alleged ghouls who generally turn out to be venal humans running various scams. Included here is Scooby-Doo's premiere, "What a Night for a Knight," in which the gang looks into the disappearance of a noted archaeologist and end up in a "haunted" museum. The fun "Go Away Ghost Ship" finds our heroes helping a shipping company daunted by the apparent ghost of pirate Red Beard, while the silly classic "A Tiki Scare Is No Fair" concerns a Hawaiian vacation for Mystery, Inc. disrupted by a witch doctor. --Tom Keogh

The Top 10 Most Famous Dogs (Part 3) Names Beginning with the Letters L to M
I've been compiling a list of famous dogs for my Pet Numerology website for some time now. I know which my favorites are, but I wondered which are the most famous overall. There are so many great famous dogs that I'm doing this in five or six groups, and then I'll do a final round with the top dogs from those groups.
The most famous dogs (based on online chatter) with names starting with the letters L to M are:
10. Milou the dog stars in the "Adventures of Tintin" comic books
9. Merle the Labrador Retriever is in Ted Kerasote's book "Merle's Door"
8. Liberty was US President Gerald Ford's Golden Retriever
7. Marmaduke the Great Dane from the "Marmaduke" comic strip.
6. Lady the Cocker Spaniel from the animated Disney movie "Lady and the Tramp"
5. Lucy the dog from the movie "Wendy and Lucy"
4. Mr. Peabody who stared with his boy Sherman on the "Rocky and Bullwinkle" cartoon show
3. Mr. Muggles the Pomeranian from the TV series "Heroes"
2. Lassie the collie from countless Lassie TV shows and movies
...and the most famous dog on this list is...
1. Marley the Labrador Retriever from the book and movie "Marley and Me"
Dogs not ranking in the top 10 were Laddie the Wonder Dog from Terry Pratchett's novel "Moving Pictures", Ladybird from the animated TV series "King of the Hill", Laika the Soviet Space dog, List the Soviet Space dog, Loki the Chihuahua-Terrier mix lived with actor Mickey Rourke, Lucky from "101 Dalmatians", Manchu the Pekingese who lived with Alice Roosevelt Longworth, Marbles the Beagle who was one of Snoopy's brothers in the "Peanuts" comic strip, Martini the Jack Russell who lives with "Girl Next Door" Kendra Wilkinson, Max from the and animated Christmas special "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", Maximillion the Bionic German Shepherd from the 1970s TV series "The Bionic Woman", Meatball the English Bulldog who lived with actor and comedian Adam Sandler, Millie the Springer Spaniel who lived with US First Lady Barbara Bush, Miss Agnes the Shih Tzu in the movie "Best in Show", Miss Beazley the Scottish Terriers who lives with former US President George W. Bush, Mouse the "Temple Dog" from the Jim Buthcer's "Dresden Files" novels, Mr. Fusspot from the Terry Pratchett novel "Making Money", Mr. Winkle who had his own series of books and calendars, Murray the Border Collie mix on the TV series "Mad About You", Mushka the Soviet Space dog, and Muttley from the classic Hanna-Barbera cartoons.
So a nice mix of dogs in this top ten from movies (Marley, Lucy, Lady), television (Lassie, Mr Muggles, Mr Peabody), books (Kipper), comic strips (Merle), and real life (Liberty). Not surprisingly, nine of the top ten dogs are characters and not real life dogs, with only Liberty having been a real life dog. Too bad those brave Soviet Space dog pioneers aren't better know, so I'll mention their names one more time: Laika, Lisa, and Mushka.
I compiled this list by searching for the dog names listed on a number of search engines and ranking them by the number of web pages, discussion forums, photos, videos, etc that are available online.

Tom and Jerry's Greatest Chases, Vol. 4
Recommended The Cartoons: Tom And Jerry has been a staple of animation for decades now. The simple formula of a cat and mouse going back and forth provided creators Joseph Hanna and William Barbera ample opportunity to really flex their creative muscles and come up with some of the most mind numbingly nutty scenarios that mainstream audiences would ever see in cartoon form. Yeah, the Loony Tunes ...
