SPY Fox is out to save the world again in his latest thriller, Operation Ozone. In this episode, the iniquitous Poodles Galore has launched a giant can of hairspray into space, and the aerosol is slowly blasting away at the ozone layer. Unless SPY Fox can outwit Poodles, the citizens of the world will be forced to buy Poodles's super-powerful SPF 2001 sunscreen to protect themselves from the ravaging sun. Anyone who loves SPY Fox games won't be disappointed. The meat of the mission is to collect the ingredients for a Congeal Pill that will put a literal stop to Poodles's hairspray space satellite. To accomplish this, SPY Fox travels all over the world and meets up with an amusing and witty cast of characters. You'll notice here the thoughtfulness that went into creating the game. From Bobby Llama, a Marlon Brando-esque recluse à la Apocalypse Now, to Roger Boar, an undercover agent with a penchant for new hairstyles, the characters are nothing short on character. And, of course, SPY Fox comes armed with a double-breasted jacket full of spy gadgets to help him outwit Poodles and her goons. The most charming include the Sticky Stun Bun, which explodes caramel and nuts all over enemies, congealing them into one tasty mess. Other favorites include the Grappling Granny, Spy Mint, and Canned Laughter. Gameplay is slightly complex, but it's nice to see a game that actually challenges kids to think, instead of hand-feeding solutions. Operation Ozone requires that kids pay attention, as clues are dropped left and right that will be of use later in the game, and strong logic skills are certainly an asset. We only got slightly frustrated by the exactness expected in clicking. If you're trying to use a spy gadget, you must move that gadget to exactly the right place or SPY Fox will tell you that's not the right tool for the task. However, that quibble aside, this is a SPY Fox game not to be missed. In fact, you'll probably be disappointed when you finally finish the mission. But don't fret, there are multiple mini-missions and endings within the game, encouraging replay. In fact, it's so entertaining that parents--and older kids--might even find themselves playing along as well. (Ages 5 to 8) --Ara Jane Olufson

In SPY Fox: Operation Ozone, Poodles Galore, the Queen of Cosmetics, has blasted an enormous hairspray space station into orbit and set it off. The constant stream of hairspray threatens to deplete the entire ozone layer within a matter of hours, leaving the planet at the mercy of the ravaging sun. You must help SPY Foxstop this criminal insanity and save the earth. Otherwise the world will have no choice but to buy Poodles' super sunblock SPF 2001, the only sunblock with a sun protection factor strong enough to block the onslaught of the unfiltered sun.SPY Fox is a supersmooth secret agent who always looks sharp in his white tuxedo, and always has something witty to say. In this, his latest adventure, he uses an array of special spy gadgets dispensed from Professor Quack's spy gadget vending machine. Gadgets include the Sticky Stun Bun, a stunner but with more caramel and nuts, and Canned Laughter, which causesan immediate Laugh Riot. The colorful cast includes archvillainess Poodles Galore, an unsatisfied, power-craving cosmetics queen; Trudy Fruit, a dedicated student working towards her Ph.D. in Gumotology; and Bobby Llama the Donut Guru, an ex-baker who has gone to the desert to find the ultimate meaning of the donut hole.Talk balloons are provided to enable SPY Fox to question others and find clues to help them solve puzzles. Every character is a potential informantand talk balloons may be used numerous times to access additionalinformation about each character. The 11 original songs included on the CD-ROM can be played on a computer or audio CD player. Music tracks include SPY favorites such as "Live and Let Fry" and "View to a Dill."

Easy DIY Projects to Sell Your Home

To sell a home in Minnesota, particularly Minneapolis, your property needs to be: updated, organized, staged, and clutter free.  Homes that show in mint condition sell faster in any market PERIOD.  Selling and buying homes is like chess: You need to look two or three steps ahead in the game.  When updating your home in the Twin cities, you should always have potential buyers in; unless you plan on staying in your home for more than a couple of years.  Whether you are looking to update your single family home to current trends or are looking to sell, simple renovations can be done by you on a budget.

Depending on the current condition of your home, minor upgrades typically have a higher return on your money than tackling major renovations; the latter typically takes longer and easily go over budget.  However, not all updates improve the value of your property.  Limit your home improvements to the location, value of neighboring homes, consumer demands of that area.  If you don’t have exceptional skills at home renovations, or don’t see the work as a hobby, stick to minor repairs and interior updates.  While tackling larger renovations yourself may save money upfront an end result screaming “novice craftsmanship” will ultimately cost you more money than it would have if the work was done by a general contractor.

A successful interior design project is not determined by the cost of its components.  Keep an open mind and blend less expensive components with a few chick pieces by visiting thrift stores, antique boutiques, and warehouse retail stores catering to Minneapolis, MN real estate owners.  There are different ways to do this and you do not have to spend a lot.  Find a few easy to replicate ideas below.

Add some Pizzazz Outside; It’s what brings buyers inside:  The best place to start your updates is outside.  Increasing the curb appeal of your home provides a great return on your money.

  • Clear up clutter, dig up overgrown trees and shrubs and replace them with newer less expensive shrubbery.
  • If you have the numerical portion of your address listed on your home, make sure they are visible and well kept.
  • Make sure your deck looks nice and fresh.  Nothing hurts the look of a home worse than a lackluster outdoor entertainment area.
  • Update your doors by applying a new coat of paint, new hardware, or change them completely.  You can find closeout doors at home centers, salvage yards, antique stores, flea markets, etc. Find a door that matches your home style and discard old and worn doors that date your exterior

Make your interior sparkle on a budget:  Once you have the buyer in, they are going to expect an interior on the same level of quality as they experienced outside.  There are many ways to update the interior of your home on a budget.

  • Clean and arrange the bedrooms, living room, bathroom and kitchen properly.  Consult the internet or your real estate agent for staging tips.
  • Organize otherwise cluttered spaces such as under counters in the bathroom and kitchen inexpensively with lined wicker baskets.  Store away everything from hairspray, makeup and medicinal items to household cleaners and linens that would detract from the beauty of your home.
  • Give your home a fresh coat of paint and keep up with current design trends, without being too trendy.  Before you start painting, study what most buyers are looking for.  Spruce up one tone interiors with an accent wall -- a splash of color in an otherwise beige room can be very appealing.

Custom Artwork on a dime:  Reuse disposable pieces of your favorite products for custom wall art.

  • Keep the corks from wine bottles and glue them into a shadow box for instant vino wall art. For a conversation centerpiece, place the corks of your favorite wines in a large decorative bowl on your dining room table.
  • If you have a lot of space between your kitchen cabinets and the ceiling, wash and save empty wine bottles and decorate that unused space.
  • Create simple abstract artwork.  Purchase a few canvases and paint at your local craft store and let your imagination run wild.
  • Give your bathroom the facelift it needs.  Replace the standard plate mirror with a nicely framed one.
  • Take black and white photos and enlarge them for a unique work of art.
  • Plain or dated light switch plates? Buy sandpaper and spray paint for an updated look.

Mix and match Drab and glam and create appealing Furniture on a budget: Each room within your home should have a lifestyle with a well defined function.   Create unique room appropriate furniture in a jiffy.

  • Take an inexpensive parsons-styled table and add a custom granite or marble top.
  • Lacking furniture and visual interest in your spare bedroom?  Easily update the room with: a fresh coat of paint, new bedding, and a custom headboard.  Purchase a complete bedding ensemble and fit the sheets to the canvas.
  • Does your kitchen need a facelift?  Try resurfacing your current cabinets, applying a fresh coat of stain, and add new hardware.
  • Have an open floor plan?  Use furniture to define the space into distinctive living areas.  Take an open sided bookcase and use it to break up a family and dining room.
  • No room for overnight guests?  Transform your office into an overnight oasis for visitors.  Adding an office appropriate sofa sleeper and a quality wardrobe creates a multipurpose room without taking up additional space.

While routine repairs and updates are necessary, updating your home does not necessitate a higher asking price.  The true value today’s market is a reduction in the number of days your home sits on the market; leading to a higher sale price.  A home that is well designed, organized, and appropriately staged will sell quicker than its less attractive competition (excluding factors such as pricing strategy, location, etc).

Bridal Emergency Pack?

So I've come up with a list for a Bridal Emergency Pack.

Please give me anymore ideas that have not been placed on this list:

Bridal Emergency Pack

Mosquito Repellent
Sewing Kit, including safety pins and small scissors
Clear nail polish (helpful for stocking runs)
Makeup
Hairspray
Brush and comb
Bobbypins and hair elastics
Hairdryer
Static-cling spray
Handkerchiefs
Lint brush
Earring backs
Deodorant
Perfume
Baby powder (also useful for getting out last-minute spills on a white dress)
Eye-drops (look for redness reducing)
Acid relief
Smelling salts
Antacid
Tide stick
Non-allergic makeup remover
Tampons/pads/painkillers
Facial tissue
Cold/allergy tablets
Nail glue/polish/remover/file
Toothpaste/mouthwash/breath mints (the small kind)
Cotton balls/swabs
Its called being prepared.

FYI the wedding ceremony is on the beach June 20th.

Thanks all who answered the question.

I've done several weddings (as a hired organizer), and an emergency kit is a GREAT idea. You've got a good list going; a few additional suggestions...

Extra rings (just in case the groom forgets the rings! don't laugh - it's happened!)
Black sharpies (or brown - depending on the shoes, in case any of the men's shoes get scuffed)
Duct tape &/or scotch tape (because you just never know)
Pen and paper
Umbrella
Razor (just in case a frazzled wedding party member got rushed and forgot to shave his face/her armpits)
Sunblock (for outdoor weddings - and this is from personal experience!)

And if anyone thinks you're being negative, just explain to them that it's not about being negative -- it's about being prepared! Things can and do go wrong, even on wedding days, and being prepared for all those little things can help the bride keep her cool and make the day go smoothly in spite of minor emergencies.
