BEATLES THE ALBUM BLANCO (2CD) (EDICION LIMITADA)
Better known as the "White Album," this was meant to be the record that brought them back to earth after three years of studio experimentation. Instead, it took them all over the place, continuing to burst the envelope of pop music. Lennon and McCartney were still at the height of their powers, with Lennon in particular growing into one of rock's towering figures. But even McCartney could still rock, and the amazement on "Helter Skelter" was that he had vocal cords at the end. From Beach Boys knock-offs to reggae and to the unknown ("Revolution #9"), this has it all. Some records have legend written all over them; this is one. --Chris Nickson

Was Paladin the smartest man in the Old West? Have Gun Will Travel is certainly the smartest Western ever broadcast, as this collection, including the original pilot--"Three Bells to Perdido" and "The Outlaw"--should convince you in short order. Richard Boone plays the unglamorous but still way-cool gun for hire, living large in a San Francisco hotel, scanning the nation's papers for potential employers. In the pilot, he travels to Mexico to take a young Jack Lord to justice, relying on his brains to get him out of a nearly impossible situation. In "The Outlaw," deep issues (for television) of honor and identity are explored as Paladin escorts the condemned Charles Bronson on one last trip to see his family. There's no question that this series deserved its long run and cult status--its topnotch acting and writing give it an unbeatable edge. --Rob Lightner

Cowboys & Aliens fuses rip-snortin' horse opera with some whiz-bang sci-fi, melding dry and austere badlands with slimy, mucusy aliens. Jake Lonergan (Daniel Craig, of James Bond fame) wakes up in the midst of sagebrush with a mysterious gadget around his wrist and no idea who he is--but he sure does remember how to take care of the bounty hunters who want to bring him in. His path soon crosses with a ruthless cattle baron named Woodrow Dolarhyde (Harrison Ford, of Indiana Jones fame), who's not too happy with Lonergan, who got Dolarhyde's son in trouble. But their fracas becomes beside the point when spaceships descend and start lassoing people like cattle. The humans, including a mysterious woman (Olivia Wilde, Tron), a Native American tribe, and some snaggletoothed outlaws, band together to fight off this invasion from another world. The first two-thirds of Cowboys & Aliens is peppy fun, with its tongue-in-cheek Wild West-ness and colorful supporting cast (including Sam Rockwell, Keith Carradine, Paul Dano, and Walton Goggins) and fairly understated CGI. The last third, with the obligatory assault on the alien vessel and a mess of clichés and inconsistencies, deflates a bit, which isn't surprising given that six screenwriters were involved. Director Jon Favreau (Iron Man) does what he can to keep things lively. Fortunately, the good spirits of the first two-thirds will carry most viewers through to the end. --Bret Fetzer Stills from Cowboys & Aliens (Click for larger image)
Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford star in this action-packed sci-fi western from the director of Iron Man (Jon Favreau) that critics call "wickedly original, unlike anything you've ever seen" (Jake Hamilton, Fox-TV Houston, TX). A stranger (Craig) stumbles into the desert town of Absolution with no memory of his past and a futuristic shackle around his wrist. With the help of mysterious beauty Ella (Olivia Wilde) and the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde (Ford), he finds himself leading an unlikely posse of cowboys, outlaws, and Apache warriors against a common enemy from beyond this world in an epic showdown for survival. Starring: Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, Sam Rockwell, Adam Beach, Paul Dano, Noah Ringer, Keith Carradine, Clancy Brown, Ana de la Reguera Directed by: Jon Favreau

The Closer: The Complete Sixth Season

Kyra Sedgwick's Brenda Johnson is one of TV's most compelling, complicated, and likable heroines. Johnson makes The Closer much more than just the well-written, crisply paced police procedural that it is. The viewer feels invested in Johnson's neurotic private life, marriage, and family, as well as in her political ambitions at the Los Angeles Police Department and in her relationships with her coworkers. In fact, The Closer hits its stride in season six as not just a fantastic showcase for Sedgwick's Emmy-winning acting talents, but also for the ensemble that helps her shine. J.K. Simmons, Corey Reynolds, Robert Gossett, G.W. Bailey, and Michael Paul Chan are among the all-too-human but motivated law-enforcement officials surrounding Johnson. Jon Tenney continues to be the super-supportive best husband ever, FBI agent Fritz, and season six shows Fritz and Brenda settling into their new marriage, with just a few speed bumps. The other big theme of this season is the LAPD's search for a new police chief. Brenda's boss, Will Pope (Simmons), thinks he has the job in the bag, but suddenly there's a dark horse in the race--Deputy Chief Johnson herself. Mary McDonnell reprises her role as the officious Captain Raydor. Season six features plenty of gripping crime solving and just the right amount of humanity to keep lovers of The Closer entranced. Extras include lots of outtakes and deleted scenes, and an in-depth interview with Sedgwick on how she, and Brenda, have grown over the course of the show. --A.T. Hurley

Airsoft Guns: Some Basic Safety Guidelines
Airsoft guns are non-lethal replicas of real firearms and used generally within a game format at designated places. Despite their quite safe-sounding name, airsoft guns although not lethal can be very dangerous. However, with the right air soft gun safety equipment and an adherence to some basic safety guidelines, you can shoot without fear of unexpectedly injuring yourself or someone else. Read on for some basic guidelines for the use of airsoft guns.
1) Always treat airsoft guns as if they are loaded and handle them with care.
2) Do not shoot your gun at anything other than an official safety target. Only put your finger on the trigger if you are ready to fire your gun. Accidental firing particularly at close range can result in damaged eyes or lost teeth.
3) Do not brandish an airsoft gun in a public place. They should be used in designated areas for airsoft gun use.
4) A note to parents of children using airsoft guns. If your child brings an airsoft gun to school or uses it in any other public place they run the risk of being suspended or even arrested. In the worst case scenario they risk being shot by a police officer as airsoft guns are often excellent copies of real firearms and can quite easily be mistaken for the real thing.
5) To minimize the potential for unexpected injury, always be aware of what is behind, beyond and either side of your target before you fire your gun at your target.
6) Airsoft guns shoot plastic pellets at a slower rate than that of a real firearm. Therefore airsoft guns can be used to shoot at human targets without injury but under certain conditions. The most important condition is eyewear. Never shoot at someone who is not wearing proper protective eyewear. Recommended eyewear are eye goggles rated at least ANSI Z87.1 or goggles used for paintball. Always wear eye goggles yourself when you are using airsoft guns.
7) Other recommended safety accessories are a thick jumper or eve a bullet proof vest if possible, plastic hip guards and forearm guards, knee protection and shin guards, steel toe combat boots and leather gloves. Cover all skin areas as much as possible.
When transporting your gun to and from a game carry it in a gun case. The gun case is safe, protects your gun and can be used to store Airsoft pistols, accessories and spare magazines. Remember in some places using a case is the only legal way to carry your gun. Respect the laws of the area in which you are carrying your gun.
9) Airsoft guns can not be bought by children under 18 and can only be used by children under 18 if supervised correctly.
10) Be aware of all local and federal laws governing the buying, carrying and use of airsoft guns. Contact your local police department for more information.
Airsoft guns can provide a great deal of fun. Misuse of these types of replica gun can bring unnecessary injury or harm to users and innocent bystanders alike. Having rules should not put you off playing airsoft gun games. Having guidelines helps everybody to get the best out of the use of the guns and keeps everybody safe. Remember to purchase the right gun for your particular need and level of ability. A whole range of cheap and more expensive models can be purchased from quality retailers selling Airsoft guns and self defense products. Choose your gun wisely, follow the safety guidelines and have lots of fun.

When will gun prices sink back down to their normal level?
Come on, prices can't stay like this forever. I have yet to meet someone who is stockpiling 50 ar-15 rifles because of obama. At some point, the market will be saturated and prices will eventually fall (before Obama bans them). Do you think that in 6 months, prices on Obama guns will sink back down to their normal levels? If not, when?
yes, there are some people who are stockpiling ARs, but they are in the minority by far. About half of those simply want to keep their options open and will by 5 or so. The other half of stockpiliers are 'speculators' who buy with the plan to resell.
However, there are enough people doing that to effect the general availablity of ARs.
Plus, there are many people who always were just a little interested in an AR-15 or AK type firearm who see it as a 'now or never' kind of thing, Hunters who have never owned anything but pump action 12 gauges and bolt action 22LR rabbit guns are picking up AR-15s while they still can. People who prevously only had a hangun or two are expanding and picking up an AR-15 while they still can.
THAT is the reason the supply of AR-15s is down...and whenever demand is up and supply is down, prices rise.
I don't think prices will drop much if at all. I know a lot of people who would LIKE to buy their first AR-15 or AK, but who won't pay scalpers prices. If guns come down just a little, they will. Last year a store might have 8-10 AR-15s at $1000 each. Right now the same store probably has 1-3 AR-15s at $1500 each. I expect in a year or two that store will go back to being able to stock 8-10 AR-15s, but will keep the price at $1500.
