George Foreman GR10ABW Champ Grill with Bun Warmer, White
List Price: $39.99
Sale Price: $23.95

Topped by a bun warmer with a transparent lid, this Champ is a variant of the popular George Foreman Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine. The electric appliance's appeal lies in its simplicity and countertop convenience--not to mention its fat-fighting ability. The double-sided grill (a 6-by-7-inch nonstick cooking surface) cooks burgers, steaks, chicken, sausage, fish, shrimp, and vegetables top and bottom in minutes. (Recipes accompany the grill.) Grill marks not only look appetizing, they contribute caramelized flavor. The bottom grill's deep grooves collect fat, and the grill is sloped so the fat runs off into a dishwasher-safe plastic tray stationed under the unit's front. The nonstick bun warmer draws heat from the grill and can be used while food is grilling or by itself. (The entire unit, grill and bun warmer, turns on by plugging in the power cord.) The warmer heats a burger's bun as well as other bread items, including English muffins, tortillas, pita bread, sliced bagels, and croissants. Because the grill is nonstick, cleanup is a snap: just a quick scrape with a plastic spatula (included) and a quick wipe with a paper towel or a sponge. --Fred Brack

Andy Warhol: A Documentary Film

Ric Burns' Andy Warhol is a four-hour pop-culture extravaganza that will retool what you think you know about the famed and oft-parodied soup-can painter. Delving deep into Andy's impoverished upbringing in Pittsburgh, the greatest success of Burns' film is its ability to delve deep behind the façade of Andy Warhol, Pop Celebrity. Featuring interviews with an array of confidants from art dealers to artists (but, alas, no Lou Reed), Burns' film portrays an extremely insecure man who lived with his mother through much of the Factory years and constantly seeked a measure of fame akin to the Hollywood starlets whose photographs he tore out of the pages of Depression-era movie mags. Andy Warhol succeeded in achieving that fame, and along the way redefined how we think of art and culture. This film may very well redefine what you think of the man. -- Kristian St. Clair
He was the most American of artists and the most artistic of Americans one man later said so American in fact that he is almost invisible to us. ANDY WARHOL a riveting and often deeply moving film portrait of the most famous and famously controversial artist of the second half of the twentieth century is the first to explore the complete spectrum of Warhol's astonishing artistic output stretching across five decades from the late 1940's to his untimely death in 1987. Combining powerful on-camera interviews and rare still and motion picture footage it is also the first to put Warhol himself his humble family background and formative experiences in Pittsburgh and his crucial apprenticeship as a commercial artist in New York back into the presentation of his life.Format: DVD MOVIE Genre: DOCUMENTARIES/MISC. Gerber 22-80012 Infinity Ultra Task LED Flashlight, Black

How much do you know about LED lights? These things are incredible-they use hardly any power, yet kick out a huge amount of light for their size. Also, LEDs are built inside a solid case, which makes them much more durable than incandescent lights and their easily-shattered glass bulbs. And they have a huge lifespan: while the average incandescent bulb may last-at best-50,000 hours before it burns out, an LED can last 100,000 hours or more. This is why it's exciting to see manufacturers starting to use this technology in flashlights. How many times have you really needed to use your flashlight, only to find that the batteries are dead or that the bulb is burnt out or broken? Gerber's Infinity Ultra ups the reliability factor with its LED technology that, according to them, will last 100 hours or more on one AA battery (included). This thing is sturdy--Gerber coats its circuitry with epoxy, which holds everything in place if you drop it or accidentally smack it against a rock. The company claims that the Infinity Ultra is waterproof down to 10 feet. Not having access to 10 feet of water, I filled up my bathtub and dropped it in there for a minute or so. Sure enough, the flashlight still worked, and without any noticeable lack of brilliance. Though the Infinity Ultra's beam is very bright for its size, this is not the best flashlight for navigating unlit country roads at night, or for exploring abandoned warehouses. It is perfect for camping, however, where its durability, small size, and light weight make it ideal for hauling in a pack and illuminating a tent. Overall, a great little product from a reliable manufacturer.--Josh Dettweiler What's in the BoxGerber Infinity Ultra flashlight, one AA battery

John Adams
List Price: $39.98
Sale Price: $16.00

Based on David McCullough's bestselling biography, the HBO miniseries John Adams is the furthest thing from a starry-eyed look at America's founding fathers and the brutal path to independence. Adams (Paul Giamatti), second president of the United States, is portrayed as a skilled orator and principled attorney whose preference for justice over anti-English passions earns enemies. But he also gains the esteem of the first national government of the United States, i.e., the Continental Congress, which seeks non-firebrands capable of making a reasoned if powerful case for America's break from England's monarchy. The first thing one notices about John Adams' dramatizations of congress' proceedings, and the fervent pro-independence violence in the streets of Boston and elsewhere, is that America's roots don't look pretty or idealized here. Some horrendous things happen in the name of protest, driving Adams to push the cause of independence in a legitimate effort to get on with a revolutionary war under the command of George Washington. But the process isn't easy: not every one of the 13 colonies-turned-states is ready to incur the wrath of England, and behind-the-scenes negotiations prove as much a part of 18th century congressional sessions as they do today. Besides this peek into a less-romanticized version of the past, John Adams is also a story of the man himself. Adams' frustration at being forgotten or overlooked at critical junctures of America's early development--sent abroad for years instead of helping to draft the U.S. constitution--is detailed. So is his dismay that the truth of what actually transpired leading to the signing of the Declaration of Independence has been slowly forgotten and replaced by a rosier myth. But above all, John Adams is the story of two key ties: Adams' 54-year marriage to Abigail Adams (Laura Linney), every bit her husband's intellectual equal and anchor, and his difficult, almost symbiotic relationship with Thomas Jefferson (Stephen Dillane) over decades. Giamatti, of course, has to carry much of the drama, and if he doesn't always seem quite believable in the series' first half, he becomes increasingly excellent at the point where an aging Adams becomes bitter over his place in history. Linney is marvelous, as is Dillane, Sarah Polley as daughter Nabby, Danny Huston as cousin Samuel Adams, and above all Tom Wilkinson as a complex but indispensable Ben Franklin. --Tom Keogh
Paul Giamatti stars in HBO's epic seven-part miniseries that chronicles the life of the famed patriot who would become the second president of the United States. Settling in Boston with his wife, Abigail (Laura Linney), Adams is caught up in the movement towards freedom from British rule, becoming a pivotal figure in the shaping of a burgeoning country. With David Morse, Sarah Polley, Justin Theroux, and Tom Wilkinson. 8 1/3 hrs. on three discs. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Spanish Dolby Digital stereo; Subtitles: English, Spanish, French; documentary; featurettes.

Here are some more information for George Burns:

Cigarette smokers usually puff away during breaks at work, drives to the grocery store, or yard work at home. Whereas cigarette smoking is typically a pastime, cigar smoking is a culture. People usually smoke cigars during special occasions, whether it is to celebrate a first child, seal a business deal, or enjoy a night of poker with one's buddies. Further proof of how firmly entrenched cigar smoking is in the American culture is the fact that Red Auerbach lighted a ceremonial cigar after his Boston Celtics won yet another basketball championship. Then, there's the wide circulation of cigar magazines like "Cigar Aficionado" in newsstands. These periodicals include features such as cigar ratings, international tobacconists, and cigar-friendly restaurants. Considering how popular cigar smoking is, it is, thus, only fitting to pay homage to cigar cutters in much the same way tobacco aficionados pay their respects to the almighty Cuban. After all, cigar smoking begins with a cigar cutter's snip of the tobacco product.
Cigar Hall of Fame
One reason cigar smoking has become more popular than ever could be the possibility that compared to cigarette smoking, cigar smoking is less dangerous to one's health. The reason is that when one smokes cigar, one does not inhale its smoke. Perhaps this explains how comedian George Burns, a lifetime cigar smoker, reached the ripe old age of 100 years! Other famous personalities who have become icons due in part to their cigar smoking include:
* Larger-than-life British leader Winston Churchill, after whom a cigar size was named.
* Austrian Psychiatrist Sigmund Freud, who often smoked during sessions with his patients.
* American author Mark Twain, who claimed that he smoked whenever he was awake.
* Comedy actor Groucho Marx, who often smoked a short, thick cigar.
Cigars Have a Past (And a Future)
Comedian George Burns, who used cigars to time his routine, served as the unofficial face of cigar smokers. While that face has become much more diverse in recent times, the essence of cigar smoking has remained unchanged. Cigars are often linked to celebrations of good luck and little triumphs. While they have historically been considered as a rich person's pastime, cigars have increasingly become more common in modern culture. Also, you have probably heard of the phrase, "close, but no cigar." Do you know where this expression comes from? The origin of the saying is the practice of saving a cigar as a good luck charm, in hopes of winning a bet made.
Cigar Characters
Other cigar legends involve people rather than activities. For example, English King Edward VII loved smoking cigars despite opposition from his mother. One story reveals that after his mother passed away, King Edward regally announced to his male guests, "Gentleman, you may smoke." It should be noted that they probably used knives rather than cigar cutters. In King Edward's honor, an American brand of cigars was named after him.
Another cigar legend is shown in the American sitcom show "Seinfeld." A character, Kramer, is frequently shown smoking a cigar. In the 1992 movie "Scent of a Woman," Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade orders his assistant to purchase a particular brand of cigars, which he knows will be hard as nails to find.
Making the Cut
The variety of cigar cutters available creates a legend of its own. Cigar cutters vary in size and color, ranging from portable to desktop, and from red to blue. Other cutters have multiple functions, and are paired with other tools such as key rings, portable knife sets, or money clips. When choosing cigar cutters, it is wise to first consider your needs.
In many respects, cigars have become as common in modern culture as the Internet and reality TV. Choosing the right cigar cutters further adds to the style and experience of cigar smoking.

Why does my George Foreman grill burn everything on the outside? It burns the outside that touches, but the?
rest is cooked fine. It burns it almost instantly. I've had another one and it didnt do this, or if it did I didn't remember it doing it and must have subsided over the years if it did.
Sound like it has a short that is causing it to over heat. If you purchased it in under 30 days and still have the receipt - return it it is faulty. If it is older than that it is time to replace it - this one has burned out.
Personally I would recommend a Stove top grill pan. Easier to clean and they don't short out. You can see an image of one here: http://www.target.com/Lodge-Cast-Iron-Grill-Pan-Black/dp/B000PJTL6U/sr=1-3/qid=1207519079/ref=sr_1_3/602-7861522-8581443?ie=UTF8&rh=k%3Askillet%20grill&page=1.
