How can I improve my golf game?

I've found that I have not been turning my wrist over and as a result, my ball generally gets pushed to the right. I have corrected this by turning it over and I am starting to see better results. How can I improve my game to where I am at least consistent with my swings....I figure distance will come later when I can get control of my swing.

Take lessons from a local PGA Professional and then just go out to the driving range and hit balls.After you start to get consistent then venture out onto the golf course and test your swing there.
