What is up with the parking at the Eisenhower Metro station in Alexandria, Virginia?

Everytime I go there there is no assigned parking there for the metro. The sports are only for the AMC theater across the street and they will tow your vechile if you part there. Now nobody is allowed to park there. What is up with that and where are you supposed to park to use that station?
I'm not talking about the new parking garages I'm talking about the parking lots directly next to the Eisenhower Ave. Metro station.
If there is no parking for the Metro as Julie says, what are you supposed to do?

There is no metro parking at the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station.
