Although CSI Miami is a spin off of the earlier famous series of CSI, the fact is that both series are equally good. It has been creatively made and has a strong cast which makes it equally entertaining as its predecessor.

The lead character of the series is Horatio Caine, played by David Caruso who heads the crime lab unit for Miami. Horatio Caine had been a homicide detective previously and has a team of highly intelligent specialists who work for him. Megan Donner, played by Kim Delaney works as the DNA specialist and is the most trusted and most intelligent member of the team.

Both Megan and Horatio complement each other quite well at work. The main difference between both these characters is that Horatio believes in going after the bad guys and works according to his guts while Megan works according to the data and what the evidences suggest. Megan loses her husband through the series. Other characters on the show are Calleigh Duquesne, played by Emily Procter who is a specialist in ballistics and Tim Speedle, played by Rory Cochrane who is a special investigator who works according to his street contacts.

Eric Delko's character is played by Adam Rodrigquez while Alexx Woods is played by Khandi Alexander. The main difference between CSI and CSI Miami is that while in CSI the team had just been scientists they couldn't really arrest anyone while in CSI Miami the members of the team are actually cops so they can arrest anyone themselves. While CSI is based mainly on science and evidences, CSI Miami is based on a more realistic basis of gut instincts in solving crimes.

David Caruso has acted quite brilliantly in the series and he commands screen presence whenever he is on the screen. Kim Delaney too acts her part in the series quite brilliantly though she has not had much success in her earlier ventures.

CSI Miami is all about crimes, drama and mysteries though in quite a refreshing manner. CSI Miami seasons 1-7 dvd collections is a must have for anyone who had liked CSI earlier. Though both of these shows are quite different in several ways, they are in the same genre of television which is why both these shows managed to get the same type of audiences when they had been on air. There is enough difference between both the shows to be able to enjoy them both on a different level.

Nonni Und Manni DVD Review for German Teachers and Students

German language teachers and students are always on the lookout for interesting ways to present lessons or improve vocabulary. This DVD series may be a helpful resource. The vocabulary is simple, and the episodes are only 52 minutes long.

'Nonni und Manni' is a *REGION 2* DVD production released in 1988. If you do not have a DVD player capable of playing Region 2 titles, go to A-Language-Guide.com and browse through the 'Advice' section, or access the information at videohelp.com. Multi-region compatible DVD players are available at your local Wal-Mart for very reasonable prices. All it takes is a few clicks of the remote control, and your DVD unit will be able to play DVDs from anywhere in the world.

The original 'Nonni und Manni' TV series was produced in Icelandic - which is a North Germanic language. The German production has well-dubbed audio, spoken clearly at an easy-to-understand pace. There are no idioms and dialect accents to deal with. Intermediate to advanced students should be able to understand the speech (which, by the way, has no subtitles).

The 'Nonni und Manni' series is based on characters from children's books written by Jon Svensson. Adults will enjoy the storyline as well.

The Plot:

1869: Nonni and Manni live near a small village on the coast of Iceland with their mother (Sigrid) and grandmother. Their father boarded a ship headed overseas before 8-year-old Manni was born, and the family has been awaiting his return.

One day a stranger named Harald comes ashore with the sad news that Nonni and Manni's father has died. The family begins the mourning process, and Harald helps out on their farm in return for board. The boys form a bond with him, and begin to look up to him as a father figure. A local businessman, who is quite smitten with Sigrid, becomes increasingly irate about the situation.

A rich farmer in the village is murdered. Harald is blamed for the incident, and decides to flee into the mountains. Nonni and Manni are determined to help keep him safe and prove his innocence. With the help of a friend, they locate a secure hiding place.

As might be expected from any 12-year-old, Nonni devises several trips to the hideout with his little brother. They put themselves into peril by doing so, and the story progresses with several life-threatening close calls.

Miscellaneous Information:

The magnificent beauty of Iceland was the stage for this series. Production techniques in the mid 1980s did not use special effects like CGI graphics. The polar bear attack scenes are a smidgen unrealistic - but the suspense is maintained, nonetheless.

The background music is beautiful, with a distinctive melancholic edge. The theme song, 'Ocean', is in English - which seems to be the case with many foreign series. Costumes appear to have been well-researched. The boys wear wool outfits that appear a big irregular and bumpy, as you would expect from handmade clothing. The hats and hairstyles of the women are definitely something you won't see in a North American western movie.

What American store will sell the WWE Raw 15th Anniversary DVD set with an extra fourth disc?

There's only one store that will sell the set with an extra disc... Anybody know which store this will be?

well walmart seems to have exclusive wwe dvd's like the undertaker 15-0 can only be found there. and raw homecoming was only sold at walmart. or best buy because they have different wwe sets like the hbk john cena and rey dvd with a shirt a mug and some sort of necklace so i would say either one of those would be your best bet.

i just bought it today the bonus disk is at walmart i am shocked it is stated that it comes out dec. 26th but today i was walmart and they had it with the bonus disk
