The Climb is the first single from the soundtrack to the motion picture Hannah Montana: The Movie. The song will act as Cyrus' debut single as a solo artist to country radio. The Climb will officially be released to the country format on March 9, 2009. As of February 2009, the song has charted on the Billboard Pop 100 chart. The song debuted at #48 on the Hot Country Songs chart for the chart week of March 14, 2009.

Miley Ray Cyrus is a Golden Globe and Critic's Choice Award nominated American singer, and actress. Cyrus is better known for starring as Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana in the television series Hannah Montana on the Disney Channel. Cyrus became a sensation after Hannah Montana debuted in March 2006. Following the success of the show, in October 2006, a soundtrack CD was released in which she sang eight songs from the show.

In 2008 she released her Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert film which had the highest-grossing opening weekend for a film to be released under 1000 theatres. She also released Bolt in 2008, and recorded "I Thought I Lost You" for the soundtrack for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination. Also, she has completed filming on the movie spin-off of Hannah Montana, titled Hannah Montana: The Movie which set to release on April 10, 2009. In addition, she has recorded and released the main single for the movie soundtrack "The Climb".

Do you think that Miley Cyrus will quit being Hannah Montana after the new movie comes out?

I recently saw the preview for the Hannah Montana movie. In my point of view i think that Miley Cyrus will choose being Miley instead of Hannah Montana but i could be wrong. What i think is that she thinks she is getting too old to be a disney star and now she just wants to be Miley now not Hannah. Do you think that this new Hannah Montana movie will end Miley's Hannah Montana career?

This movie is the last installment of Hannah Montana. After this, actress/singer Miley Cyrus has stated that she might choose to do more with the Disney channel.... however, the show/character of Hannah Montana is over.
