what are some good comic book publishers besides marvel?

I can't seem to find any good comic book publishers that don't focus on manga or superheroes. I want to publish a very alternative comic book.

Image comics has already become as good if not better than marvel and all works published trough there are creator owned

dark horse but they publish a lot less

dont count big companies out
dc owns vertigo and wildstorm which produce indie comics
marvel has icon which also publishes alternatives
all of which are creator owned
