Jersey Boys (2005 Original Broadway Cast Recording)
List Price: $18.98
Sale Price: $8.74

22 tracks. Bob Gaudio prod.
Although it squarely falls in the "jukebox musical" category, Jersey Boys doesn¹t try to integrate its songs in an artificial plotline. The show tells the story of the early-1960s group the Four Seasons, and the musical numbers tend to be introduced in context, as when songwriter Bob Gaudio comes up with a tune, or the quartet performs a show. This allows Jersey Boys to flow better than some of ill-fated peers, and the actors can shine without having to bend backward to accommodate an inane book. The show's most (only) daring move is to start with a hip-hop-tinged French-language version of "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)," an actual hit in France in 2000. After that it's all VH1-biopic territory, but it's done with so much flair, taste and energy that the ride's a fun one. The Four Seasons had enough hits ("Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Rag Doll," etc.) to easily fill an evening at the theater, so it's left to the cast to do right by them. And it does, particularly John Lloyd Young as the band¹s star lead, Frankie Valli. Young hits all the falsetto notes and brings real freshness to the part. His "Can¹t Take My Eyes Off You," a second-act peak, is signed, sealed and delivered with a star's acumen. --Elisabeth Vincentelli

Walt Disney seems to have had a special affection for Lewis Carroll's "Alice" stories. "Alice's Wonderland" (1923), a short about a live-action little girl in a cartoon world, led to his first successful series, the "Alice" comedies (collected on Walt Disney Treasures: Disney Rarities--Celebrated Shorts, 1920s -1960s). During the early '30s, he talked about making an animation/live-action feature of "Alice in Wonderland" with Mary Pickford in the title role. But almost two decades would elapse before Disney released his Alice. It's the most uneven of the classic Disney features, juxtaposing brilliant and dull sequences. The Mad Tea Party, the Queen of Hearts' Croquet Game, and Alice's encounters with the Caterpillar and Cheshire Cat fuse the spirit of Carroll's words, the vitality of the polished animation, and the stylized look and brilliant palette of designer Mary Blair. But the song "I Give Myself Very Good Advice" and the unsatisfying adaptation of "The Walrus and Carpenter" bring the story to a halt. Disney's Alice in Wonderland remains a beloved film, and its better moments are truly magical. (Rated G: cartoon violence, some scary moments, tobacco use) --Charles Solomon

While You Were Sleeping
List Price: $6.25
Sale Price: $2.99

If you don't mind a heavy dose of schmaltz and sentiment, this romantic comedy has a gentle way of seducing you with its charms. While You Were Sleeping was the first starring role for Sandra Bullock after her blockbuster success in Speed. In a role that nicely emphasizes her easygoing appeal, Bullock is the reason the movie works at all. She plays Lucy Eleanor Moderatz, a Chicago Transit tollbooth clerk who's hopelessly smitten with a daily commuter, Peter Callaghan (Peter Gallagher). She saves the object of her affection from certain death after he's mugged and falls onto the train tracks. While Peter is in a coma, she lets his family believe that she is his fiancée, and surprisingly finds herself drawn to his brother (Bill Pullman), for whom the attraction is definitely mutual. How Lucy gets out of this amorous predicament is what makes this pleasant movie less predictable than its familiar ingredients would initially indicate. It's feel-good fluff, with characters and performances that keep you smiling through the drippy plot mechanics. --Jeff Shannon
Lively romantic comedy showcasing the affable Sandra Bullock as a Chicago transit worker who saves the life of a slick lawyer she's smitten with after he falls near an oncoming train. While he's hospitalized in a coma, Bullock is assumed to be the lawyer's fiancee by his eccentric family, but the arrival of a handsome older brother complicates matters. With Bill Pullman, Peter Gallagher. 103 min. Widescreen; Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital Surround, French Dolby Digital Surround; Subtitles: Spanish; theatrical trailer; interactive menus; scene access.

Stainless Steel Enema Kit with PVC Tubing: 2 Quart Container. No Latex
List Price: $50.00
Sale Price: $43.95

|
|
Want to enjoy the benefits of colon cleansing with enemas at home? The Stainless Steel Enema Kit is BPA- and latex-free, making it the perfect solution for those who suffer from chemical sensitivities or latex allergy. The BPA-free stainless steel enema kit is completely hygenic and safe for your health. It features quality construction, is easy to clean and care for, and fast to set up.
This is the only Stainless Steel Enema Kit in the United States and Canada. We import them by the 100's from India. Replacement parts are available.
Regular cleansing with enemas helps to:
* Reduce toxic accumulation in your body
* Reduce inflammation
* Relieve constipation
* Encourage smooth, regular bowel movements
The Stainless Steel Enema Kit features latex-free PVC tubing and a sterilized catheter tip for added safety and cleanliness. All of the enema kit parts can be replaced for a low price. The Stainless Steel Enema Kit makes it easy to perform an unassisted home enema without the high cost or messiness of older home enema kits.
All the parts are of quality construction and built to last. An enema is not something you do once every ten years, or even once every ten months. Many doctors recommend that they be performed at least once monthly, if not once weekly. Therefore it would be wiser to invest in something of this quality, rather than something that is cheap. This kit will last 20 times longer, at least.
Also, latex bags can cause allergic reactions in some people, and the bags are not exactly conducive to hygiene. They cannot be cleaned well on the inside, which is dark and usually wet - this promotes bacterial growths while being stored.
However, the stainless steel container in this kit can be cleaned and sanitized very easily. Because it is stainless steel it is non-reactive, which means you can safely do coffee enemas (for liver cleansing) as well - without fear that the acidity of the coffee may cause a chemical reaction from its container.

Here are some more information for Chicago Movie:

"The Silver Streak" is a very funny and thrilling action/comedy film starring Gene Wilder, Jill Clayburgh, and Richard Pryor. The movie has adventure, romance, comedy, and mystery. The comedic acting is quite good, particularly Pryor's role as a car thief.
George Caldwell (Wilder) is a simple man who decides to take a trip from LA to Chicago aboard an Amtrak train known as the Silver Streak. On board he meets secretary Hilly Burns (Clayburgh) and the two quickly fall in love. That night, from the window of her compartment, he witnesses a dead body falling from the top of the train. Hilly tries to calm him down, but the following morning he sees a photo of the man who was killed, who turns out to be Hilly's boss, an art professor.
George tries to investigate the murder and gets thrown off the train by a big hulk. He wanders through the desert until he comes to a ranch inhabited by an old woman. After he unsuccessfully tries to milk her cow, she gives him a lift back to the Silver Streak in her plane.
Back aboard the train, one of the passengers identifies himself to George as an FBI agent and tells him that the crime he'd witnessed was real by showing him a piece of the victim's shirt which had gotten caught on the roof of the train. He also tells George that Devereau, the suspected killer, had been looking for some very old letters from Rembrandt which proved that his Rembrandt painting was a fake. George had spotted the letters earlier and shows them to the agent. However, as they pass through a tunnel, a gun shot goes off, killing the agent. The train conductor comes in and sees George with the gun, which the agent had given him, and suspect that George is the killer. Meanwhile, Devereau and his associates are surprised to learn that George is still alive since the shot had been meant for him.
The hulk who'd thrown George off the train tries to kill him again. The two climb to the top of the train and George manages to kill him with a spear gun he'd taken from the train compartment. However, shortly after killing him, he accidentally gets thrown off the train again.
George wanders to the nearest town, where he meets an inept sheriff and tries to tell him what happened, but the sheriff doesn't believe him. The sheriff then gets a call from the train conductor telling him that George is a killer, whence the sheriff tries to go after him. George easily disarms the sheriff however and manages to drive away in his police car, only to find it occupied by a car thief named Grover Benson (Pryor). The two manage to get away from the police and cross the state line into Kansas.
George and Grover steal a car, which they drive across the state to Kansas city, where they arrive the following morning. George wants to board the Silver Streak again to rescue his new love Hilly from the killers, but his picture is in the paper as a killer and the cops are looking for him. In order to sneak back aboard the train, Grover gets George to disguise himself as a black man. The disguise works and he gets back on board.
Back on board, George finds Hilly being held hostage by Devereau and his gang, who take him hostage as well. Grover manages to rescue him, however. The two jump from the train into a ravine. They go to a police office in Illinois, where they learn that a group of cops are in pursuit of Devereau. To protect the passengers, they order the train to be evacuated in the town before Chicago. Once the passengers leave, Devereau and his gang battle it out with the police. Devereau manages to hijack the Silver Streak, killing the engineer and keeping it running by placing a tool chest on the gas pedal. As a result, the Silver Streak runs away at full speed towards Chicago. Devereau ends up getting decapitated.
With no more bad guys on board, George, Hilly, Grover, and the conductor, the only passengers left on board, now have the task of reaching Chicago safely. The manage to detach the engine from the rest of the train and jump onto the cars. The engine, however, crashes into the station in a spectacular crash, in which luckily no one gets killed.

How do I volunteer to be a movie extra for movies filming in Chicago?
I'd be an extra for free! I'm such a movie junkie that the idea of being on a set, even if I just stand in the background is fascinating. Any recommendations on how to get involved?
The Illinois Film Office has extras casting agents on their website.
http://ifo.jtpr.net/ProductionGuide/index.php?cat=113
It's free to sign up with any of them - you should never pay a fee for being an extra. Extras casting agencies get paid by the productions to supply the warm bodies. Sign up with as many as you can and be available - availability during the week is a huge thing. Good luck with it!
