Boycott CBS Radio! Former 97.1 free fm listeners, what are you listening to now?

First they took Frosty Heidi and Frank away so I had nothing to listen to at work. So I decided to stream my Yahoo radio station that I have been building for the past 5 freaking years, and gues what, IT IS GONE! There's a disclaimer on the page that says they are now owned by CBS radio (Those bastards!) and can no longer offer personalized stations. WTF is going on? If you were a 97.1 free fm fan, what are you listening to now?

I'm still listening to all kinds of other stuff that's available. But I'm accustomed to changes in radio. Happens all the time and CBS (though I'm not defending them - quite the opposite) made a business decision. It is much cheaper to run a nationalized Top-40 station than a localized talk station (raspberries to them!).

Good luck on boycotting CBS. They're huge. Just in LA, they have over 15% of the available listeners - may not sound like much, but to a seasoned radio ratings geek, trust me, it's big - and LA is the second biggest market in the US.

There's lots of great morning shows across the land -most of them stream. Use this disappointment as an opportunity to find new talent you may enjoy - even if from a distant state - or country.
