61* is an endearing ode to the baseball days of yore when the press was the enemy, salaries were in check, and breaking records with bat and glove took on Ruthian proportions. In 1961 baseball expanded its season from 154 games to 162, allowing weaker pitching into the major leagues and two New York Yankees teammates--the colorless Roger Maris and golden boy Mickey Mantle--to make an assault on the sport's ultimate record: Babe Ruth's 60 home runs. To add to the stew, baseball commissioner Ford Frick announced any record set in the last eight games of the season wouldn't count toward the official record; records had to be achieved in 154 games. Director Billy Crystal guarantees success for his movie in the perfect casting of the leads. Barry Pepper (Saving Private Ryan's religious sniper) is deft as Maris, and Thomas Jane is a perfect Mantle, a superman in a Yankee uniform. Despite the differences between family man Maris and hard-living Mantle, they form a rewarding friendship amid the media and fan frenzy. The shy Maris took the brunt of the storm, even facing boo-birds in his home stadium. Crystal and first-time writer Hank Steinberg keep the pace moving quickly between the field, the locker room, the press box, and the home front. The film never tries to dazzle with more than the facts (and it softens Mantle up a bit), yet it belongs on the short list of grand baseball movies. --Doug Thomas
Summer, 1961: Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle are on pace to break the most hallowed record in U.S. sports, Babe Ruth's single-season 60 home runs. It's a big story, and the intense, plain-spoken Maris is the bad guy: sports writers bait him and minimize hi

Share in Walt Disney's extraordinary vision of pairing imaginative stories with spectacular music in Disney's 8th full-length animated classic, available for the first time ever.In the tradition of FANTASIA, MAKE MINE MUSIC is a glorious collection of musically charged animated shorts featuring such fun-filled favorites as "Peter And The Wolf," narrated by the beloved voice behind Winnie The Pooh. In addition, you'll enjoy such classic cartoon hits as "Casey At The Bat," "The Whale Who Wanted To Sing At The Met," and "Johnnie Fedora And Alice Bluebonnet," the whimsical adventure of two hats who fall in love in a department store window. Every member of your family will have a favorite in this musical medley of fun and fantasy from Disney! Product Measures: 0.61" x 5.34" x 7.5"
Sometimes referred to as "the Poor Man's Fantasia," Make Mine Music (1946) was the first of the "package features" Walt Disney released after World War II. Instead of Bach and Beethoven, the artists illustrated segments set to popular music by Benny Goodman, Dinah Shore, and the Andrews Sisters. Originally set to Debussy's "Claire de Lune," "Blue Bayou" remains an atmospheric evocation of the Everglades. "The Whale Who Wanted to Sing at the Met" is a charming fantasy about a cetacean with an extraordinary voice. "Peter and the Wolf," based on the Prokofiev score, offers brightly colored designs, but the narration by Sterling Holloway seems superfluous. "All the Cats Join In" is an upbeat evocation of the Bobby Sox era, but "Casey at the Bat" and "Johnny Fedora and Alice Bluebonnet" feel self-conscious and unfunny."Two Silhouettes" combines rotoscoped images of Ballets Russes de Monte Carlo stars Tatiana Riabouchinska and David Lichine with kitsch cupids, sparkles, and hearts. "The Martins and the Coys," a spoof of a hillbilly feud, has been excised in a bow to modern taste. The supplemental material includes The Band Concert, the first color Mickey Mouse short and one of the character's finest performances, and Music Land, a quirky Silly Symphony about clashing musical styles. --Charles Solomon

Superior to Martin Scorsese's punishing 1991 remake, this 1962 thriller directed by J. Lee Thompson (The Guns of Navarone) stars Robert Mitchum as a creepy ex-con angry at the attorney (Gregory Peck) whom he believes is responsible for his incarceration. After Mitchum makes clear his plans to harm Peck's family, a fascinating game of crisscrossing ethics and morality takes place. Where the more recent version seemed trapped in its explicitness, Thompson's film accomplishes a lot with a more economical and telling use of violence. The result is a richer character study with some Hitchcockian overtones regarding the nature of guilt. --Tom Keogh
The Southern backwoods become a setting for suspense and shock, as sadistic ex-con Robert Mitchum tracks down lawyer Gregory Peck and his family for vengeance. The original version of the classic thriller, based on a John MacDonald novel, also stars Polly Bergen, Martin Balsam, Telly Savalas. 106 min. Widescreen (Enhanced); Soundtrack: English Dolby Digital mono; Subtitles: Spanish, French; "making of" featurette; theatrical trailer; photo gallery; DVD-ROM content.

How To Design Your Own Embroidered Caps
When it comes to designing garments or accessories, you will discover you have oodles of options in addition to the benefits you will receive. Having more of those options just allows you to get more for your time and money. Whether you choose hats, shirts, pants, or other types of styles, the benefits cross cultures as well as societies. You can actually design your own embroidered caps without a lot of hassles thanks to easy software that makes customizing products online extremely efficient and simplistic.
How can you design your own embroidered caps to be the most efficient and personal for your own needs or the needs of your business?
Actually, when you choose to customize garments online, you will find the going is simplistic. While many companies offer a varying number of steps, sometimes, the less steps the better. Finding a company that can complete the process in three easy steps allows you to spend more time on your life or other needs. Sometimes, you just need a simplistic process that allows you to take the bull by the horns as you develop amazing products for your needs.
Generally, the first step is to choose the product. There are caps, hats, bandanas, baseball caps, scarves, bungies, and other types of hats on the market today. Each has its own benefits allowing you to get that perfect look with each order.
The best thing is that you do not have to order blindly. Instead of waiting for the "test" hat to show up at your doorstep. You know what that hat looks like before you ever decide to purchase. Yes, you are in control of the creative process every step of the way!
Secondly, you will have to choose the design and/or text to be placed on the hat. Text is beneficial because you can say a lot in such a little space. You get t o choose font, thread color, and even the placement making this a personal product just for your needs. Of course, many people choose to have uploaded images placed on the cap in question.
One reason people choose some companies over others is that you get to order as many or as few as you desire. With no minimum, you can purchase one or a thousand. The minimum is taken out of the ordering process allowing you to purchase at your leisure without all the stress and pressure.
Finally, you can choose to order your product or simply toy with the program on the website until you have that perfect look. The good news is that without high pressured salespeople, you get to order when you are comfortable.
Choosing to design your own embroidered caps just makes a lot of sense. You are in control of the creative process, but you will also find that you order at your own leisure rather than when someone else tells you it is necessary. As you sit down allowing those creative juices to freely flow, you will appreciate the benefits of having an exceptional product readily available at your door in half the time of other designers.

Why is it impolite to wear a hat or Baseball Cap in restaurants?
I mean how come the damn cap looks awesome outside the restaurant but looks like shit inside that you have to take it off !!!!!!
isn't that stupid? will someone tell me a convincing reason
Taking off a hat when you go inside is good manners but for some its better they keep it on!!!
So I guess it depends on the type of restaurant you visit, the nicer the place the higher the probability you should take it off and straighten out the messy hair under it all....
Example, in a place like TGIF Chili's, or Red Robin's don't worry about it...mostly families or people that don't give a crap about if you're wearing a hat or not are the majority clientele. Just use your brain and discretion and I bet you'll be OK
THE CAP FITTED FOR A TRUE FRIEND
WHENEVER I think of Keith Alexander, I'll always remember that soppy baseball cap of his.
