There's a chef in all of us. Sorry, MASTER CHEF in all of us.

With all the TV cooking shows that abound the cable networks today. Many of us sit back and say "I know I can do that", and for the most part you are right. All you have to do is go to the website, check on the program for the respective chef and look up the recipes you just saw or was suggested to you by your better half, or a friend. Very simple, No?!. NO!!!! Let's proceed from there. Look at the video and watch, maybe for the second time (you'll watch it a lot more, trust me). Figuring you will impress you next dinner guest(s) you click on the recipe link.

Print it out so you can start to make the list of ingredients, and you can make sure you spell the "different" ingredients correctly, i.e. cippolini onions $4.99/lb. Make sure there's enough room on the page as it can get long. Post it notes won't do here. Once the list is made and you are pretty sure your favorite store has all the ingredients go out and purchase the ingredients and leave a little budget "room" for the aforementioned different ingredients. By the way you will probably never use these ingredients again unless you fall in love with the outcome.

Ah! The outcome. Make sure the cooking space is clear and large, because you, unlike the TV chef, do not have 4-6 people prepping the preppable ingredients. Love those cooking terms. You can expect to basically add 20 to 50% more time to prep (love it) because you haven't done it before and you'll be looking at the video again and re-reading the recipe several more times (chopped, mashed, sliced, diced, you get the idea).

Now it's done, oven's ready, it's prepared and ready to go. Hey they said 45 minutes in the video and the recipe says 55. Go back watch the video, read the recipe and make a game time decision. Slpit the difference and gram the thermometer (where did I see that last?). OK, you are in.

Now, whether it says do NOT open the oven, you will, so add 10 minutes to your game time decision of 50 minutes.

Times up, How is it? Interesting is not the best response, but hey it's your first time with this and next time ( you have to use that different ingredient again) you'll get it right. That's if you significant other will allow it or reservations are in order to make amends.

BUT!!! If it works great. Now back to the TV shows for the next adventure. Honestly I love the shows and besides entertaining, but I have found that I don't have several assistants to make sure everything is ready, correct proportions, correct tools and equipment, correct makeup (scratch that). And of course that it has been prepared several times to make sure they get it right before I do it.

But it's all in great fun and entertainment and if you are a MASTER CHEF on the inside you'll continue to go for it as long as the food looks interesting, your family is forgiving and you have the budget and taste for some different ingredients.

Does any one know if Kill Bill has been adapted into a manga?

Most Kill Bill fans know that it is inspired by old Kung Fu films and Japanese anime/manga. So I was wondering if it has been adapted into that media, and if so, where can I buy the books?

Kill Bill has not been made into an officially licensed manga. However, there maybe doujinshi (fan made manga) that you can search for on the web. The doujinshi will most likely be in Japanese though. Unless you can read Japanese, I doubt your will be fruitful in your search.
