Can you wear a baseball cap in the rain?

I just bought an awesome baseball cap, I want to wear it to school tomorrow and show it off. The problem is, the forecast says it's going to rain, and I don't want to look like I'm wearing it just to show it off. Does wearing a baseball cap in the rain make you look like a tool?
Also, will the rain ruin it and make it less good-looking?

Depends on the material of the cap. A baseball cap is designed to keep the sun out of your eyes but it's also good for keeping the rain out too. Water can shrink the sweat band if it's made of leather. Inside the material, the brim is usually made of some type of hard cardboard which can warp when it's wet. I wear mine in the rain.
