Is there a way to play audio threw a tv using a laptop?

Ok, well i have movies on my laptop and we play them on the t.v. using the S cable but that only plays the visual so I was wondering if there was a cable i could use to play the audio as well? anything will help. Thank you.

Yes there is. Take the audio out put jack (headphone jack) and buy a cbale that will take that sound and make it one of the red, white or yellow connectors. This is what my Mom had to do. It works GREAT
