What does the ringing phone scene in the movie Constantine mean?

I've watched Constantine so many times but I still don't know. The part when Angela is in her apartment(?) and her cell phone rings, and then her fax, and then all the phones are ringing and she turns around to face the camera. I always try to figure out what that scene means or represents, but I can't think of anything. Anyone have a clue?

Pretty sure it doesn't signify anything specific or meaningful. I just took it to mean that supernatural forces were breaking into her life. Maybe it could be a figment of her imagination that her budding psychic powers caused (the phones weren't actually ringing, she just thought they were) because her sister was reaching out to her psychically to get in contact with her.
