The tot-like tank engines are back on the tracks for another round of useful lessons cleverly disguised as adventures, narrated by Alec Baldwin. The half dozen five-minute stories that make up this episode include such conclusions as the fact that teasing can backfire ("A Big Surprise for Percy"), listening to rumors can lead to wrong impressions ("Thomas and the Rumors"), and it's hard to live up to one's bragging ("James and the Trouble with Trees"). In the title story, a complaining James gets the chance to help Mrs. Kindly (voiced in a comically strained falsetto by Baldwin) when her sister can't come to visit. Mrs. Kindly (and Baldwin's falsetto) returns in "Happy Ever After" for her daughter's wedding, as the engines provide a train-themed package of something old, new, borrowed and blue--yes, the last would be Thomas in streamers. The 34-minute video wraps up with the kid-sung "It's Great to Be an Engine," which asks the musical question, "What if you could be a train?" (Ages 2 and older) --Kimberly Heinrichs

Saying that the excellence of Frozen Planet is predictable is not to diminish it with faint praise, but rather to acknowledge that it meets the extraordinarily high standards of all the BBC's nature documentaries--starting with the mother ship, Planet Earth, and continuing through Human Planet, Wild Pacific, Ganges, and all the others. Narrated as usual by the redoubtable David Attenborough, these seven episodes (on three discs, plus bonus material) take us to the Arctic and Antarctica, the two most remote and least hospitable areas on the planet. And yet, despite environments where temperatures reach minus 70 degrees Celsius and the sun doesn't shine for half the year, life flourishes. Not surprisingly, there's a lot of attention given to seals, penguins, and polar bears--so much, in fact, that as engaging as these sequences are (including those depicting male bears and elephant seals waging bloody warfare against would-be suitors trying to horn in on their mates), one might be forgiven if a certain fatigue eventually sets in. Fortunately, there's a great deal more, especially in the more diversified Arctic: from slugs, snails, and caterpillars that freeze solid in winter and thaw in the spring (a cycle that repeats year after year until, at age 14, the insect finally becomes a moth) to minke whales, beluga whales, and narwhals (the single-horned "unicorn of the sea"), from seabirds and cod gathering by the millions to a large pack of wolves tracking a herd of bison (one of many extraordinary aerial sequences) and caribou in mass migration. There are breathtaking shots of the landscape as well, including a glacier in Greenland that advances at a rate of 40 meters per day, as well as a stunning depiction of the aurora borealis. Finally, there is the human element; in episode six, "The Last Frontier," we visit Longyearbyen, Norway, the northernmost town on the planet, and the Dolgan, a tribe in Siberia who hunt walrus with harpoons and scale sheer cliffs to gather eggs to sustain themselves. Finally, the seventh and last episode, "On Thin Ice," chronicles in alarming detail the climate changes, including the rapid loss of ice, that point to serious consequences for the entire world within a few decades. All of this is presented by way of the kind of magnificent, gorgeous camera work that beggars verbal description. Each episode also contains a "freeze frame" segment explaining how the camera crews captured a particular sequence, sometimes very much at their own peril, while bonus material includes several dozen short "video diaries" and "Frozen Planet: The Epic Journey," an hour-long compilation of some of the series' best moments. --Sam Graham
The makers of "Planet Earth" literally go from pole to pole with this remarkable documentary series, as the majestic landscapes and hardy fauna of the Arctic and Antarctic are captured as never before...and, given the changing climate, may never be captured again. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English DTS HD 5.1 Master Audio; Subtitles: English (SDH), French, Spanish; featurettes. 6 episodes on 3 discs. 5 hrs.

Here are some more information for Alec Baldwin:

When you think of the most famous actresses in the world, it is likely that one person who comes to mind is Cameron Diaz. That's because she happens to be one of the most famous actresses in the world! Over the years, she has starred in a wide range of films, but mostly sticks to romantic comedies and outside the box comedies.
In my opinion, the following movies are Cameron Diaz's best films of her career.
The first movie that I will discuss on this list is Gangs Of New York. I had not seen this Martin Scorsese directed picture until recently, and I honestly don't know what I was waiting for. This is an excellent film about the early days of the greatest city in the world.
One of the most heartfelt films I have seen in recent years was My Sister's Keeper. This film is based off a book, which I believe is inspired by a true story, and it is a seriously emotional film. This film stars Diaz, Alec Baldwin and the up and coming star Abigale Breslin.
When it comes to my favorite comedies of all time, one movie that definitely is on the list is There's Something About Mary. This movie is absolutely hilarious and in my opinion is probably the best from both Cameron Diaz and Ben Stiller.
It goes without saying that any list of Cameron Diaz films has to include Vanilla Sky. This is easily one of my top twenty favorite films of all time. I wouldn't call it a psychological thriller, but it is definitely a psychological adventure, and an incredibly interesting concept for a film.
One other movie that I feel compelled to discuss is Shrek. Sure, it is an animated film, and I'm sure someone else could have adequately provided the voice of Princess Fiona, but you cannot question what this franchise has done.
As it stands, these are the Cameron Diaz films that I personally enjoy the most. Let's see what she comes out with next.

Thoughts on Racism
Here we are again. Before, we have the biscuits named Filipino(s), then we have that dictionary entry that defines Filipinos/Filipinas as domestic helpers, then we have dancing maid on a TV show and then we have Mr. Tsip Chao calling us a nation of servants. Now we have Mr. Baldwin tagging our dear Filipinas as mail order brides.
It seems that we are becoming a common target nowadays for racial slurs by foreigners who does not understand what it is to be a Filipino.
---
On the other hand, isn't it also time for us to look at ourselves on the mirror? Have we been racists too?
I would not mind that much if we have thrown some discriminating remarks or jokes about foreign nationals. Admit it, we've got tons of prejudices for Intsik, Bumbay or Hapon. Even by how we call them is discriminating itself. We presume all Intsiks to be 'kuripot.' We presume all Bumbays do 5-6 or does not take a bath. I don't have in mind now what we presume about the Hapons but I'm sure there's one. These prejudices have been deeply embedded in our minds that once we saw one, we immediately pre-judged them.
So isn't just bad karma for us?
---
But what is worse is that even among ourselves, we are racists too.
We discriminate one another and feel superior to others. The Tagalogs see the Bisayas as dirty and does not have good manners. The 'civilized' Filipinos see tribal Filipinos as uncultured and barbaric. We tag our Ilokano brothers as kuripot. We see our Muslim brothers as war-freaks and should be avoided. The 'white' Filipinos feel superior over the 'brown' and 'black' Filipinos. The 'matangos' Filipinos deride the 'pango' Filipinos. The 'educated' Filipinos look down on the poor because they are 'uneducated.'
That's just a few examples of how racists are we. I believe we have thousands of these that are resting in our minds - waiting for the right time to spit it out against ourselves.
---
I am not saying here that such remarks made by other nationalities against us should be shrugged off. I believe we should ask for an apology for that guy named Alec Baldwin. We should teach him a lesson so that others would not follow what he did.
But aren't we supposed to be angry with ourselves? We have let ourselves to live on prejudices against others - our fellow Filipinos whom we should be loving and serving. It is really sad to hear our fellow Filipinos being ridiculed in our daily conversations and being lambasted because of their so-called 'kakulangan'.
Bago natin punahin ang pagkakamali ng iba, mas maganda siguro na siguraduhin muna natin na hindinatin iyon ginagawa.

What are the funniest Alec Baldwin movies?
I heard that he was hilarious, and I wanted to see. What are his funniest movies that I can go rent?
He's hilarious in an Al Pacino way: He freaks out to the point it's ridiculous and you have to wonder how much booze he's had before showing up on set.
He's "haha" funny in 30 Rock, which as I'm sure you know is a TV show.
He's "omg Alec's freaking out" funny in Glengarry Glen Ross (which is a serious movie adapted from a play, but still very good) This is where he made the phrase "brass balls" popular.
He's also very funny in all the 90 million times he's hosted SNL. They may even have a Best Of Alec Baldwin.
George Clooney and Alec Baldwin: Was there any problem between them??
The recently concluded 82nd Academy Award was an exciting show and thanks to its host Actor Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin who delivered a brilliant monologue speech which was not only funny but also raised some eyebrows because of Baldwin and Clooney’s eye line matches!!
